Delta Hotels Detroit Metro Airport - Featured Reviews (1053)
Booked thru a last minute "hot" rate 3rd party, for supposedly a top hotel in the airport area. Glad I did not pay full price. Wanted a quick overnight for a super early morning flight. Unfortunately the property was scary and disorienting with its sprawling layout. As a single woman traveling I was surprised my room was located so far away as a choice by the reception staff.||The room was not up to sleeping standards, I might as well have crashed in a chair at the airport. For a Marriott supposedly as a top property, this was a very tired, dirty, damp, musty place with dimly lit catacombs hallways. Great setting for a horror flick.||As noted my room was so far away, and so remote I didn't feel safe. The door was flat metal, nondescript, like an old motel or solitary confinement. The room was dark and damp. The smell of musty AC hit you upon entry and the AC unit rattled so loudly it was worse than airplane noise. I couldn't bring myself to shower. I put socks on to sleep, what sleep I got. The carpet was disgusting and likely growing fungus at this point.||Please beware if staying here. I do not know how this hotel was categorized as a top hotel in the 3rd party's offerings. It was truly subpar. I'd be leary of ratings and would read more reviews in the future.
The staff at the check in were awesome. They were friendly, accommodating and professional. The hotel appears to be aged, however, some of the rooms have been updated. My room was updated and very nice, however, my business associate's room was not. The hotel offers shuttle service from and to the airport. The driver was professional and helpful. The hotel appears to be within walking distance from the airport, however, it is not - there is a wall blocking walk entrance to the hotel. Shuttle service is best.
I have an inhaler, but not severe asthma. The first room I was given had very strong undertones of smoke. The front desk easily changed rooms for me with no hassle, but I just couldn’t get over that initial feeling. I had the air temp on cool and I didn’t have any reactions, so I think the second room was fine.
Maybe they need to go with more solid surfaces and not so much carpet or less textured wallpaper in order to give a fresher feeling to the rooms.
It was a really good hotel for the price, everything was clean, the bed was comfortable, got a good shower time.
The restaurant part also is a little bit cozy and the food was good, dinner and breakfast.
People working there are giving good service and smiling.
I do recommend it, it's close to the airport with a shuttle deserving it.
Positive: The hotel was clean, the rooms were clean. It smelled great and refreshing. Negative: There was a very LONG line constantly checking in, only one young lady working, and she KILLED IT! She was multi-tasking and handling things so efficiently and quickly, but that poor young lady, get her some help!
We are retired airline staff and found ourselves stranded overnight in Detroit unable to get two seats home. We redeemed Marriott points at this hotel due to its reasonable point redemption rate.||My Platinum Elite status was recognized at check in with an upgraded room, bonus points and access to the Pantry. The room appeared recently renovated, equipped with bottled water, a fridge, a coffee maker and lots of USB ports for charging. The beds were comfortable and the shower and bathroom were well-designed. The room appeared very clean.||The Pantry was basic, containing a good variety of packaged snacks, cereal, coffee, soft drinks and water.||The shuttle to/from the airport was adequate. The driver wasn’t very nice. About 10 minutes after making our reservation, we left the airport and had difficulty finding the hotel shuttle pickup spot. The signage was poor. I called the hotel asking about the shuttle. While doing so, the shuttle wizzed by us. The front desk person at the hotel called the driver to tell him that he just missed us. About 10 minutes later he pulled up again and gave us kind of a lecture about waiting for us for over 10 minutes. That’s impossible, we only made the reservations about 10 minutes before he supposedly was waiting. I don’t know what he was talking about but it was inappropriate to take out his grievances on a guest.||In spite of this one negative, we would definitely stay here again if stranded at DTW for the night since we slept well and found the location convenient.
Great location, but not so great hotel! The rooms appear outdated, run-down, musty-smelling, and not very clean. There was noticeable hair and debris stuck in our shower, which was gross. Also, the design of the shower is terrible; water ends up getting all over the floor! The bed was also uncomfortable and not of Marriott standards. Overall, not the best experience!
I’ve stayed here half a dozen times now for both work solo and leisure with my family. The staff is always friendly, great service, rooms are clean, and the atmosphere is quiet which is perfect for me. It’s a great option whether you are commuting for work or looking for a quiet affordable stop for your family.
If you have a flight out of DTW I highly recommend this hotel. We have stayed here 1/2 dozen times the last few years and have never been disappointed. The facility is clean and well maintained. Most recently we had a very early flight and weren't ab
A great location with plenty of amenities, including a full service restaurant with some of the best chicken and pancakes I've had! Besides the air conditioner being a little busted, and the low water pressure of the shower, the room was great. The b
Embassy Suites is one of my favorite places to stay no matter where they are. This one was nice. The free breakfast is always good with made to order omelets and pancakes. You can get scrambled eggs already made and thereâs usually a good choice o
We got 2 rooms for our party. Both rooms were clean and up to date. Front desk guy when we checked in was super sweet and the other staff we encountered were all friendly, "Hi, how are you? Have a good day." The breakfast was the typical carby stuf
Floors were filthy inside. Mud tracked in, carpets on second floor needed vacuuming. Elevators had not been cleaned in sometime. Ceiling in room was peeling near door. Space heater ran off and on, carpets were stained inside our room and worn.

I love smokers alley. I live it the neighborhood so I come often. The store is always spotless and smells nice. They have a big selection of things idk what most of it is. I just like the candles and snacks. When I do smoke I get my white owls here.
I want to thank Romulus Flowers & Gifts SOO much! They helped us with a prank for a lost bet on my brother Mitch. He was dressed in an embarrassing Donald Duck costume and had to stop by and pick up 'daisies' from Romulus Flowers. Michelle the owne
So sad they will be closing at the end of this month! 36 years plus! Such an amazing atmosphere that you can't recreate or buy! No matter the money. Absolutely stunning good food, great people and best places ever! Again so sad they are closing, and
This 5 star review is based on the customer service I received from the salesperson Baneen. I originally came to the store to ask shipping questions but she was so knowledgeable about T-mobile network, deals and their items that I ended up purchasing
