Delray Breakers on the Ocean - Hotel in Delray Beach - 1875 S Ocean Blvd, USA

Living area and bedroom are very spacious, however, they are in need of some repair. Paint needed very badly. Vents should be replaced. Electrical outlets should all be replaced (everything you plug in falls out). Most all the blinds are broken. Bedroom closet has no door. Don't even get me started on the bathroom and sink area, it should be gutted! Disgusting and filthy with some crawling bugs, can't even open the window (which looks newer)...Kitchen leaves little to be desired. Needs a real good cleaning and cabinets are falling apart. Write up says it's fully stocked, it is not! This room does not look anything like the pictures posted. Furniture minimal, no chair at the desk, TV wires all over the place. The outside grounds and pool are really nice, but they should invest in some bug control, both inside and outside. And a little refinishing on the outside could go a long way. Locks on doors are horrible. The only redeeming quality about this place is it is located right on the beach.

This place is disgusting. Run down. Mold infested.over priced. I am a local- there are better options. Do not stay here. If I could give ZERO stars I would. Staff was rude, room was literally so filthy we left and paid for a different hotel. I have never posted a negative review in my life. But this place should never have guests.

We stayed here after Thanksgiving, a family of four with two small children. Our stay was pleasant and we will definitely come back. Granted the property does need renovation and certain pieces of furniture are outdated, the kitchen in particular. BUT everything is immaculately clean and housekeeping is super efficient. The rooms were very spacious and the beds ultra comfortable. The common areas are very well maintained and the direct access to the beach is superb. The pool is clean and the complimentary coffee and drinks are a nice touch. Booking process was easy and the staff was friendly and professional. The whole area was quiet and we got great rest, as well as nice and quality beach time for our kids. Would certainly recommend.

If you’re picky about esthetics this place may not be for you. If you are a simple person that loves the beach, spending time with family, and relaxing then this place checks all those off.

I visited July 2023. When I arrived they gave me the key to my room. When I walked in it was full of propane gas smell. I checked the stove and saw the gas burner had been left on. It must have been for some time because the smell was through out the room and very bad. The office moved me to another room. That new room had a VERY LARGE patch of mold on the ceiling. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. I did not stay. I asked for my money to be returned, which they did. Fortunately, for me I was only a few hours away from home. If you are considering a long trip to Delray Breakers, I hope your experience is better than mine or you will be in a very difficult position. The office manager was cooperative but very unfriendly and unprofessional. (not mike, his wife).

Great place for a weekend on the beach! Pool is well maintained. Free parking. Great customer support.

Pros: Well kept grounds. Towel/laundry service. Pool kept clean (but not heated as advertised). Full kitchen amenities. Living space was clean. Cons: Front desk was not overly welcoming or enthusiastic. The rooms need MAJOR renovation. Our room looked like your first apartment in the rough side of town. The ceiling had serious water damage and the vents look disgusting. It's a shame because they have potential and if they gave the place a makeover it would make a difference. Don't expect a luxury stay. We were not very impressed with the ambience. Thankfully we are pretty simple people but I can't imagine getting a "Karen" in there; place doesn't look as nice as advertised. Also the breakfast was a little underwhelming. Packaged pastries, packaged bagels, not even a nice drip coffee... I just feel like if you are going to claim something as a RESORT, it should be more luxurious. And sadly the beach was absolutely littered with trash--- all of the private beaches out back were for that matter. So it's not exactly the fault of your resort, but someone should be picking up trash. It deterred us from any beach walks, especially after almost stepping on a massive piece of broken glass. So much potential. I hope you all find a way to make it a more memorable getaway for future guests 🙏 It did serve it's purpose. Not impressed. I would not return.
