Delicious Restaurant - Haitian restaurant in Brockton - 1753 Main St, USA

I ordered a fish plate as I’ve done before. When eating I noticed the fish had an odd smell after tasting it had an unpleasant taste. It clearly was not fresh. I flipped the fish around and it was soggy and soaked in oil, the beans were cold. I don’t understand how I was served old nasty food when I was told 20 minutes. I arrived and still waited an additional 20 minutes. I called the restaurant to inform them of the issue. I was told that they only sell fresh fish and the owner was not there and to come to the restaurant, so they can taste it! Like What?! however it was not guaranteed that they would be able to replace the order or give me a refund. A total joke! The audacity for them to tell me they want to taste it instead correcting it. It’s unfortunate they do not value their customers, Very poor customer services. Needless to say money wasted! Just avoid them altogether!

The food is great. Service is ridiculously slow. Every time I call ahead, I arrive, my order has NEVER been ready. I have to wait additional time and then people are just able to walk in and walk right up to someone to ask for their order, skipping the entire line which I don’t think is fair. It’s rude.

Haitian restaurant in Brockton, with friendly staff. Unfortunately, did not like the food much. Chicken was good, but the rice and plantains wasn't what I was expecting, which might be my unfamiliarity with Haitian cuisine. The prices though are very good, so I might just try it again.

Ordered a plate and expierience no wait like some restaurants have. Pleasant greeting upon arrival and food was great. Will come back

I’ve never had an issue with the service. Staff are very polite and professional (better than most caribbean restaurants you go to). One time I went with my husband and sat down to wait for our food and I enjoyed the atmosphere (the art, decor, family feel, and Haitian music videos playing on the big flat screen tv). The only downside i would have to say is the food. My favorite thing to get is the legume with white rice and sos pwa nwa (black bean sauce). It always comes with a side of fried plaintains and some potato salad. I’m not picky/bougie when it comes to food at restaurants at all. But the past 2 times when I ordered, the potato salad tasted like it was going bad because of being improperly stored. It smelled sour, like it sat out overnight. Highly likely that it wasn’t made that same day and both times I ordered it on a weekend day in the early afternoon. The plaintains also were cold so I had to put them in my air fryer. The legume tasted ok but that had a weird smell to it too and I had to quickly put the leftovers in the fridge because it would’ve gone bad if I left it out much longer. Plus there were only 2 pieces of beef and I ended up cooking my own meat to fully enjoy it lol. Maybe they got a new chef in the past few months? Regardless I’d suggest doing proper inspections of how the food is stored before and after cooking it.

This place is amazing! The people who work there are the nicest and most professional group of people i have ever encountered at a restaurant. The food is sooooo good and fresh! This place is a hidden gem!

Very warm and welcoming atmosphere with comfortable seating, great service, and very inexpensive prices. The food came with a large volume for little price. I could taste their passion in their food and will definitely be back, highly recommend.

The food is good but I think they have too many dishes in their menu which is compromised the quality of the customer service is think it is too much for staff to handle. I think fewer dishes in the menu will improve their customer service and the waiting time considerably.
