Deland Fish House - Seafood restaurant in DeLand - 310 E International Speedway Blvd, USA

I’ve not been able to find haddock, which I’ve loved since childhood, until coming here. There were four of us and we spent $91. The Haddock was delicious, the red potato so soft that one didn’t need a knife. The onion rings were homemade and awesome. My niece had shrimp and green beans. The beans were garden fresh and the shrimp was gone before any of us could swipe one. I had the strawberry crunch cake and it was truly divine. I’ve always loved coconut and my niece let me have a bite of hers, but enough cannot be said about the strawberry. I would recommend this place to EVERYONE. The staff was attentive, courteous, and continually made sure we were comfortable. The decor was that of an old fisherman’s house. There were so many different fish and such colorful decor. I highly recommend this restaurant and I intend on going as much as possible.

Excellent food! Our family had the grouper, grilled shrimp and scallops, and fish and chips. Fried okra was great too!

Great seafood fare. I enjoyed mahi fish tacos with their special sauce, cole slaw and tartar sauce. Fish perfectly grilled. My side was home made onion rings. Bottomless ice tea too!! I had no room for the awesome key lime cake. The restaurant owner walked the tables and talked to everyone. Friendly and patient servers top off a wonderful experience. Reservations a good idea.

Order was served incorrect (wrong sides and missing fried oysters) and took several minutes to get the attention of waitress. The owner/manager came by first, but did not want to deal with it. Errors were not corrected till end of meal. Small portions for the price and the fried shrimp were tiny. Do not recommend the combo platters, small amounts of everything, but high price.

Cassandra thanks for your positive attitude. Manager walked around a lot. Very busy place. Great prices for portion sizes. Can handle large parties but call ahead to accommodate. So many good options to eat. I will return when I am in town again. Fish tacos amazing. Pies amazing. A great portion for boil. Conch fritters great. You can get lunch portion size at dinner just 1 side

Update: I have eaten here at least 10 times now and it's fantastic. I love this place. Owner is a legit fisherman too. There are pictures on the walls of them fishing in many places and comes from a family of fishermen. Even though they are running a very successful business, the owner has no problems walking around and busing tables for customers and talking to them. That's the kind of fantastic place this is! Had lunch here this week and enjoyed it. Seafood is fresh and they also sell some on ice as a fresh market. All of our dishes were excellent. Server was very nice. Manager came around and checked with diners. Nice clean place with cute decor.

They gave generous portions and everyone enjoyed their meals. The blackened cod was delicious as was the fried squash. Our waitress was attentive and filled our water and tea many times. Prices were higher than my previous visit 10 years ago but reasonable for today’s customers.

SO clean and the food was amazing! Got the Salmon on cedar plank. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. My boyfriend had the Mahi Mahi tacos. Service was outstanding too!
