This is the best Del Taco in America. They always get my special order right and don’t skimp on the cheese. The employees here take pride in a job well done! Great job, people! Keep up the great work. We moved across the country and came home to visit- eating here was the best! A taste of home. Thanks everyone for all you do, brought my childhood to life over here with delicious nostalgia.
Met 89-year-old Ed Hackbarth, original owner of Del Taco today. Such a delight!!! I worked at one of their first stores in California in 1971. This is the original and still uses original menu. Delicious!
This is one of the originals. They long cook their beans and it shows! Staff is always friendly here and I love that they take time to give you a little history of the restaurant. Employees seem to be happy working here. This is our pit stop headed to La Vegas and we look forward to it every time! I’ve never had a bad experience here with food, staff or otherwise even the dude that stands outside the restaurant holding the door open for tips is super nice and respectful.
The first Del Taco restaurant of Barstow, CA ever built is definitely a great place to drive through or eat inside. The place is still owned and run by the original owners who created Del taco franchise and they have a special menu which is the original menu from when Del taco was started. We were driving back from Vegas and stopped by. Food was clean and there were more servers than your ordinary Del Taco or fast food restaurant. They were also very nice. Definitely try this place if you’re in the area.
Dream come True! Visiting one of the OG Del Taco restaurants was truly a new core memory for me. Food? better. Coke machine? Pebble ice! Bathrooms? Larger. Staff? cuter. Maybe I’m just a fan boy but this was my most favorite Del visit ever. They have the original menu which was really cool to see. Food just tasted more authentic and made in house. My wife and I both got souvenir shirts and the staff even let my wife try it on before she bought to make sure it would fit her.
They serve you here! Also, an amazing assortment of hot sauces on the table for you. Food came out FAST. My fish tacos were THICK & perfectly cooked & flavored. The fries were a little under salted but asides from that - Great place to go! Best del taco I've ever been to.
We ordered 2 deluxe spicy jack chicken quesadillas. There was no cheese in it whatsoever. You open it up and the chicken fell all out. You use to get bigger chunky pieces of chicken- this was like it was scrambled. Absolutely disgusting. Never Again! My husband loves Taco Bell- I raved to him about Del Tacos Quesadillas- what a joke. You’ve lost me as a customer and my husband as a potential one.
I was told that this Del Taco had the best tacos. They are called the Barstow tacos and they are the best. I have never had a taco from Del Taco as big as the ones that I got. I ordered three, but could only could eat two, they're delicious. The place was crowded, but the delivery of the food was quick. There's stuff is on it. They are fast at serving your food. If you're ever in Barstow, you have to try. They're tacos are the best Del Taco tacos I've ever eaten.
This place is AMAZING. The chicken is PERFECT and the Raising Cane's sauce makes the chicken even better. First time coming to one and I'm absolutely coming back whenever I get the opportunity to. Wow!!!
Friendliest branch I have ever visited! Food comes out promptly, we didn't have to wait long for the food to be bought to our table. If you see Carlos there, make sure you ask him to make you one of his damn good secret shakes! I ordered one which ha
Enroute to the Mojave National Preserve, Barstow is considered our halfway point. This is not our usual fare but said what the heck? It was hopping in the drive thru which led me inside. Surprisingly very clean. They had enough manpower to keep
Fast drive thru service and a decent cup of coffee. Supreme Croissant breakfast was really good and fresh. Put the hash brown in the sandwich for a tasty combination. A+++++++++++
A great side trip from the main road to see some cool rock formations. The off-road trail was easy to drive, and the colors and scenery were amazing. It's a nice, quiet place to explore and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
I usually find roads to be just that, but Route 66 is different. It feels melancholy, wistful. It makes me think of all the hopes, dreams, and individuals that traveled it going somewhere in search of better futures. Worth a visit, a pull over, and a
I am addicted to Mexican food and La Mesa is the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. The food is incredibly delicious. Street tacos had a lot of additions and well-seasoned meat. Sopapilla is also heavenly. If you're nearby, be sure to t
Delicious! As always! Traveling from Vegas to NorCal had to stop and eat. Very conveniently placed and has lots of parking. The inside I'm pretty sure is the largest in and out dining room I've ever seen. Never disappoints!
