One of the more interesting museum's we have been in, on the coast. It is $5 a person to get in. It was informative and diverse.

It's hard to describe and a true treasure. I could spend a week exploring it. Not a 5 star because there is some very disturbing history presented without much context or awareness. It's a lot and I can only imagine the impact on a person with Asian or Native American or Black identity. The staff were kind and full of stories about the historic shipwreck. I hope they embrace additional curation to bring more transparency and accountability to this truly special collection.

Local home-town museum. Lots to look at. Probably too much! Some displays are really well-done (especially the fresnel lens). Others are somewhat hodgepodge, but that's typical of a home-town museum. They even use the space in jail cells for display. A few of the displays are not easy to see because you are blocked off, or the display is behind reflective glass or behind jail cell bars. But for the price, this is a pretty nice museum.

If you appreciate local history, you'll enjoy this place. Dedicated group of volunteers maintain the museum, create exhibits and answer questions. Nominal $3 donation to enter..

As a Yurok, Karok, & Tolowa native, I was pleased to admire local American Indian baskets, hunting, fishing and daily food instruments as well as the most valued ceremonial Regelia. There is a beautiful collection of older photos of native families in which I recognized my family members who have passed and others I met while living with my great Auntie Minnie.

My husband and I have visited quite a few museums in NorCal and Southern Oregon. This museum is one of the *best*! The woven Native American baskets are incredibly made; there's a detailed history of people and places around Crescent City and the entire county; and one of the most amazing things to see is the original Fresnel lens that came out of the St. George Reef Lighthouse! The lens alone is worth going into the museum, and with a $5/person donation request, it's well worth it. *If you'd like to see the Lighthouse it came out of, on clear days you can see it from Point St. George.

The couple working there were so informative an friendly. It was an awesome experience. They let us enjoy the whole museum, an when we were done, I had questions. We enjoyed a wonderful conversation about the museum, Crescent City, an where we were from. They were also very sweet to out 10 yr old. Thanks for a wonderful visit.

A really nice place to stop on our drive into the redwoods. A really busy beach, with lots of campers set up. The weather was really chilly in July so come prepared!

Now I can say I slept with horses in an old corral. (It was grassy.) With a picnic table, potable well water spigot, plenty of space between neighbors, I couldn't have had a better place to pitch a tent on July 4. Fireworks exploded for hours. I did
