It's not a touristy spot but beautiful for pictures and a nice walk. I love seeing the local spots, and this is definitely one of them. Perfect spot for a picture of the Boston skyline.
I would give this place 5 stars except for the airplanes which I guess are not really its fault. I ride my bike here on occasion and take a spin around the island. Very clean, and quiet location dominated by the treatment plant. Cool views of the City over the water. A nice place to take a summer walk by the sea.
My partner and I walked around this island. It was cool that we could see Castle Island from the south side, and the city. Would recommend walking around it in a clockwise manner so you can see the city the whole way back.
Interesting place to visit, full of history and good to work out, it also has a very small beach not crowded and good for tanning.
I did it running, walking, bicycle and the views of Boston are spectacular.
Recommended for family, friends and everyone else who wish to spend a great time.

Fantastic seaside walking trail. Just make sure you get there early in the day (think 8 or 9 AM) if you're driving, the parking spots go FAST especially when there's good weather. I am particularly fond of birding here. Oyster-catcher fans, rejoice!
