Deer Haven Inn - Featured Reviews (254)
We did an overnight golf trip. We played at Bayonet & Black Horse, but chose to stay at Deer Haven cause of the positive reviews & location. Check in was quick and easy. I booked directly with their website and they don't charge until day of check in which is nice. Parking is free but only 1 car per room. We had 3 rooms but 4 cars. So we had to park one car on the street which was easy to find. We stayed on a Sunday so it wasn't busy. Location is nice we had breakfast at The Grill at Pointe Pinos which is about one mile away. Rooms were nice and clean, beds were comfy. There's an ice machine which was convenient for our coolers. We didn't go to the beach but supposedly it's like a 10 min walk. It was quite didn't hear any disturbances but maybe because it was a slower day. We would stay again.
We enjoyed our stay at Deer Haven Inn. Very nice room with a fireplace. Looked clean. Great location near the beach.
There were some slight issues, so I understand the reviews on customer service. The sink was slow draining. At one point, it appeared clogged. I called the front desk and they said they may not be able to resolve it until tomorrow. This was worrisome, as it was the only sink. Luckily, we got it to keep draining. Hopefully, they fixed it after we left.
We come here every year for our wedding anniversary. Have been here the last four years and look forward to coming back! This is a very quiet, clean, and homey place to stay. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for a walk to the beach. Especially to watch the sunset. We look forward to our next visit.
Super cute room. Friendly staff. 6 min walk to beach. Lots of deer in the neighborhood, too.
Cute little inn right near Asilomar State Park.
Quick walk to the ocean, adequate parking, adequate albeit weird rooms.

My wife and I planned a last minute trip to Monterey. I read a lot of the reviews for Deer Haven Inn and dismissed the bad ones and gave it a try and we are glad we did.|| We reserved the king bed with fireplace ||The fire place was simple and a nice touch to the room ||The bathroom was huge with 2 shower heads. The front desk was very pleasant and the price was extremely reasonable ||10 minutes from The Monterey Bay Aquarium and the 17 mile drive Very close to Carmel.||You are 5-10 minutes from food and a Safeway market Best part, only an 8 minute walk to the beach Pure white sand and a beautiful area. You won’t be disappointed ||It’s not a huge room, but I’m not one to hang out in my room all day. ||We will stay here again on our next visit ||It’s simple, affordable and in the middle of everything you need to have fun and a great vacation ||Small tip, if your going to the aquarium, take an Uber and save time on finding parking ||It’s only about $13 each way
We love the Deer Haven. It is not a fancy place but it is clean and comfortable. We love the location and always take our chairs and walk to the beach for sunset. Amit at the front desk is a wonderful person and helpful.
Wasn't sure what to expect, so I'm trying to give as detailed of a review as possible so that hopefully whoever sees it has a good idea of what they're paying for.
The rooms were smaller than expected. But if you're intending to be out the whole day
This restaurant was a rather choice in urgency. We arrived quite late in Monterey thus started late on food hunting. We didn't want to drive far so we chose the one with the most guests. We got decent food in big portions at fair prices. If you are n
Great little B&B that is centrally located in Pacific Grove. Walking distance to cannery row, the aquarium and the monarch butterfly sanctuary.
The rooms were clean and everything worked well (for such an old house). We had no problems. There is a ni
A wonderful place to sit and reflect. The crashing waves are always intriguing. There is a path between several benches in the area. A great place to enjoy while on a coastal walk or bike ride.
First time experiencing Maxâs grill and the food was out of this world! Definitely going to be a repeat customer whenever we pass through Pacific Grove/Monterey. Absolutely amazing customer service, beautiful and cozy atmosphere. 10/10 would recomm
Staff was friendly. Room had plenty of space and was remarkably quiet. Enjoyed the gas fireplace. Best part was walking to the beach. Pacific Growth is a cute town and close to everything you would want to see or do in the area. We would stay again.
