This place is great. There’s a decent playground with a fun climbing toy that even I enjoy. There’s several covered tables for having a party. I believe reservations are possible, but I’m not sure. There’s a small pond that has a path all the way around it with a bridge and some platforms, which seem to be for fishing. You can see Clark’s creek from the path. There’s a large grassy area over by the picnic tables. We usually pick this park because it’s a little quieter and less busy than some of the other options in town.
My high school class has chosen DeCoursey Park for many years as a place where we can get together for our outdoor reunion picnic. The park has a wonderful covered picnic area, clean restroom nearby, a children's play area, a pond with ducks and a nice walking trail. A true gem.
One of my favorite dog walks. You can start at DeCoursey, walk around the pond, cross the street and go into Clark Creek park...meander around there, and come back. My dog likes to take a cool off in the creek before we head home.
What a jewel in Puyallup. We wished a quiet place to enjoy nature and this park was lovely. The trees, the ducks in the pond, the other humans who visited...each and all contributed to the peacefulness of the visit.
Stopped in to walk our dog. Trail around the pond is short, but it’s right across 7th to Clarks Creek Park so we ventured that way to get a longer walk in, finishing up back in DeCoursey. Free parking, playground, and picnic pavilion onsite. Plenty of trash cans and benches around the pond in addition to the two docks. One of the cleanest parks I’ve visited in Puyallup/ Pierce Co. A variety of duck species were present and so many anti-duck signs? Great spot to birdwatch.
We haven't been here since 2007, but it's a nice place to bring the kids, we enjoyed the walking paths along Clark's creek, and seeing the ducks with their babies. The playground was pretty cool, no swings but it has one of those rope webs to climb on and through, as well as spinning bucket seats. We went in the evening and it wasn't really crowded. It's a nice scenic place for a walk or family outing.
There's a wonderful gravel path where you cross two little bridges, can access two docks, and the pond's edge. You can't feed the ducks, but they are very lively and fun to watch. There are many benches to sit and rest, and covered picnic tables. The playground is a good one too, with slides for both big and little kids, and a climbing dome. There are restrooms but they were locked; unsure if that is covid related or seasonal.
We had a great time. The trail was easy enough that since COVID I had really not been out much. We brought a snack and it was a little overcast...but no rain. We saw a few people out and stopped to ask a few questions and visit with some people out walking thier Dogs. Would go again.
New to the area and wasnât quite sure where the water park was right from the road, but Google told me it was here. Itâs right next to the playground area! The water park area is so perfect for a hot day! My 11, 9, and 3 year old had a blast! Th
This park is great for walking, jogging, bike riding, etc. There are also several open areas, a picnic pavilion, playscape and various benches located throughout. The trails have a fun activity/story that you follow along with and kids seem to get
