Very small, low comfort hostel.
The rooms don't have ventilation or direct sunlight. The wifi doesn't reach the kitchen and some rooms not well either. The bunk beds are squeaky and some broke. The cleanliness is decent not the best. The kitchen has one fridge that is packed and not many items to cook.
Mostly old people and the vibe isn't super friendly but it's in a good location!
Price is amazing.
It is very quiet and peaceful at the hostel.
Lots of respectful people.
Is really just a value stay. Though still higher price than I believe worth.
I arrived at the hostel, but there is no one here. They didn't leave the keys and the laundry. They did not take care that the person got into the house. They withdrew the payment and cheated on the housing. Let them return the money, these are scammers
Horrible!!! Was extremely hostile and unwelcoming. Did not honor my reservation. It was 11pm at night. This was my first time ever visiting Washington DC. While there I overheard guest complain the water in the bathroom was overflowing. I do not recommend anyone stay here. I lost my money as well. It would be nice if you all refunded me like the rude employee said you would. I ended up going to a much better, cleaner, welcoming establishment.
Very basic, relatively cheap.
Clean sheets and bunk.
The rest is not nice. Shared room gets very hot (in springtime). Not much privacy in bathroom.
Check-in hours are short. Staff OK.
Good Guatemalan food next door and bus/metro and 7/11 at the corner.
Many liqouerstores ect. in the area. Nightclub next door.
Do not go there unless your next option is sleeping on street! As you can see in the photo ,this not the place that you want to stay! Even the top bed did not have safty guard!
The experience was horrible. We couldn’t even stay at the hostel because they cancelled our reservation.
We booked two beds in a 4 shared room through booking. When we made the reservation we had the chance to choose the check-in time which after we paid it was denied. Since that day (a week before our arrival) we tried to reach the hostel but no one picked up the phone in the mornings. We contacted through booking chat, and we got the answer saying they didn’t accept check-ins after 9 pm. We tried to get to an agreement or a solution for that night we couldn’t check-in, but we got no response. The same day we were traveling, around 4 pm, finally a girl took up the phone. She tried to help us find a solution so we could check in when we arrived at 10.30pm and she did her best. One hour before arriving, at 9.15pm the manager or the one we believe was the owner, called us saying we couldn’t get there after 9pm, so we had to find another place to stay the night. We had two nights booked so we were going to check in the next morning and when we got there he had cancelled our reservation without even contacting us and had booked our two beds for someone else. We ended up with no beds for that night either. At least booking refunded us the whole amount as the hostel wanted to charge us a cancellation fee.
Really disappointing and not recommended experience, for some dollars more you have better hostels to stay in DC where the workers actually care for their customers.
I went there at the beginning of 2023.
I admit that the geographic situation of the hotel is great (near the tube), and 30min walk to the National Mall.
HOWEVER, the hotel is not a place for families or even for a trip with friends. The bedrooms are outrageously small. The bed are scandalously incomfortable, and the bed sheets are not never cleaned, very dirty (--> Same for the room, the floor, and the hotel in general). The hotel staff is totally absent (I wonder if they work even 1h a day). I had no windows in my room, and way too much noise.
I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE !!!!
It's better for you to go somewhere, maybe more expansive, but it will worth it. I can assure you.
the room looked awful. the bed is so bad, I didnt sleep all night. people in the toilet are seen from the outside, the place hasnt a sign outside, the glass in the entrance is cracked. no personal light over your bed. in the room you hear every thing going on outside. i was scheduled for 6 nights and left after no-sleep-night. I wasnt refunded for the 5 left days. if you're looking for a horror movie scene, go there. The next night i stayed in generator in DC for almost the same price, which was an incredible experience.
I love coming to barre at the DuPont studio and canât recommend it highly enough. The classes are challenging (there are multiple formats) but inclusive of people of all ages and fitness levels. When I first started barre, I didnât anticipate big
