It could definitely have been a lot worse but it could have been better as well. There were a lot of older cosmetic issues as well as trash being left in the stairwell and access was far too easy to get on the roof. Some of the fire alarms were I seriously doubt up to code considering you can see the wires and the bathrooms had a attempted makeover where they slept on some newer stuff to try and make the older stuff not so important the beds work comfy however and the pillows were amazing breakfast was delicious and the office staff wad supersweet

Strangers toe nails are complimentary! Last minute necessity due to a powerful rainstorm which lead us here at a $62/night price online (Saturday night) but was charged $100+ in person for a two queen bed room. It was cozy and quiet, but either you can break into these rooms easily or the sheets are not changed after every guest. The man upfront showed no emotion except when I asked why there wasn't any salt at the breakfast, there is no salt offered he stated. He also said it was Not for religious reasons etc, salt is expensive though. If you're desperate, and need the help this is the spot, breakfast was alright.

Room was very clean. Motel was dated, though was very acceptable for a couple night stay and priced well within anyone's budget. Shower was hot, towels nice and fluffy. Room did smell a bit musty, but I would stay there again. Surprisingly it was very quiet. Continental breakfast a definite plus.

Positive: "" Negative: Checking out at 10:45, went to the soft drink station and pushed the water option. Could not punch the water option. Went to the teller and asked why the water option would not give water. Clerk replied they were closed for breakfast.

I would give no stars if I could. I did not even walk into hotel. Between the sleazy people outside-homeless with grocery bags and “ladies” working, I fled with my family. Denied a refund from hotel and the booking app that I used. I called directed and was put on hold/they laid the phone down on the counter so they could argue with a guest in person-heard it all. If you like a hotel that is misrepresented online, next to used car dealerships, surround by “unique” characters, horrible customer service-then this place is for you. My regret/read ALL reviews before booking somewhere - not just the ones on the booking app.

A few days have passed since my experience at this hotel. I have since managed to release the anger raging within me. Now with a clear head and a calm attitude, I will leave a review with no persuasion. You do as you may, as I did, and I wish you a better outcome with your stay at this place. The staff is very friendly, I have absolutely no complaints about them, they do what they can with what they’re given. The issue, the only issue, I must say, that was truly an issue was (as someone stated previously) ‘BOB’ the ‘manager’ at the front desk during the day time. I stayed here a total of 3 nights. The morning after my first night, I took my children to the pool, something they were extremely excited about given that this homeschooling, traveling, family hadn’t been able to afford a hotel with a pool in Virginia where we were previously at. After breakfast the first morning, I intentionally stopped by the pool to check the hours 6am-9pm it said. So we go to the pool a few hours after breakfast. My kids are so excited! As am I just to see them that happy. And this ‘Bob’ comes around hounding me, moving about until he musters up the courage to ask me what my room number is. This wasn’t a emotionless question, this was asked with anger. As if I was sneaking in there or something. Anyway a few minutes pass and he mumbles something that sounds like he’s going inspect my room when I’m getting out. I at this point am only concerned at the energy I’m giving off to my kids so I try to stay cool and calm. Then he yells for me to get out of the pool because they were going to inspect it. So I tell my children calmly to step out and reassure them that everything is ok. Idk if the inspector is only supposed to check the quality of the water and not the structural foundation of this pool. The tiles were falling out and the rail in the shallower end ( which is over 3.5 ft) is one strong pull away from breaking off. We wait, until the inspector gives us the ‘good the go’. We have to endure ‘bitter bobs’ energy every time we see him. After the original two nights we booked, my husband books another thinking of the fun my children are having at the pool. The morning after the third night, we go for bfast. Bob is at the register, my husband goes to Bob to pay another night as his meeting has been prolonged. Bob here is having issues at the register and runs my husband card twice. First run goes through and Mr.Bob does something then says ‘ hold on buddy something happened’ second run of my husbands card gets declined as he had only transferred a specific amount. And this Bob won’t fess up to whatever mistake he made, and tells my husband to ‘call his bank’. My husband leaves to work and I go back a few hours later, after he sends a lady to notify my that my time is up there. I go and show him that the money has been deducted and he wants to hear nothing of it. He just keeps saying ’call your bank’. I try and explain that we have been staying for 3 nights already, and our intention was to come and pay for another, but he kept cutting me off. He didn’t care that we had paid for 3 previous nights, he didn’t care that I had food in the fridge that would go bad, he didn’t care that the 90+ dollars he charged me were missing from my account and he didn’t care that my two kids would be left without a bed to sleep in. He didn’t care that he messed up and blamed it on ‘our bank’ he didn’t care that we had already paid for three previous night and came to him with the honest good hearted intention to pay for another. And that’s when I lost it with him. I told him he has no business dealing with customers, he should be in the back, that he had been rude to me since day one when I was at the pool with my children, he claimed the pool was closed (BUT THERE WAS NO SIGN!) it took all my will to say but I did and maybe I didn’t mean it then. But I mean it now ‘ Mr. Bob, whatever pain, whatever unresolved issues , whatever ancestral trauma you are holding on to, I hope you find peace, and freedom from it. Know that you are worthy of happiness and love.

The PHO here is amazing!! Holy cow yummy. I also tried the grilled pork bowl—it reminds me of Vietnamese vermicelli, but here it’s served warm. The “house” fish sauce with it is very mild flavored. The menu only has a few items, but it all se
