Days Inn by Wyndham Sulphur West - Hotel in Sulphur - 2600 Ruth St, USA

The place needs more grounds maintenance, the rooms are slowly being remodeled,as well. Thomas, the manager was extremely courteous and helpful as well as Isabella. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. You only get basic TV channels, so don't expect cable or dish. I would stay again.

Do not stay there. It had decent reviews. We booked the room just looking for a place to sleep a few hours while traveling Showed up the place was dim lit and honestly looked closed. Only 1 car in the lot. Went to check in the are was clean and well kept. The person at desk was friendly. It went downhill from there. The parking lot was in bad shape and and wasn't well lit for safety. Walk ways had little light had to use light on phone. We found out by accident that most of the rooms were void of furniture and fixture as if the place was being shut down. Got in. The room it smelt clean but that was it. Room had seen it's better days and was in major need of repair. It was in worst shape than some places I have stayed in 3rd world countries. You could feel every spring in the bed. Bed pillows were as small as pillows on a couch and felt like flat foam. Went to pull sheet back and noticed something on the box springs. Pulled mattress back to find lots of hair. Black particals of who knows and a stain. We went to try to get refund and office was locked. We just drove off and tried to get refund without luck. See attached pictures

The room had roaches grasshoppers and other insects. The sheets was not properly cleaned and their was only two thin sheets on the no comforter. The bathtub was not properly cleaned it had stains and was dirty the shower curtain was dirty and mildew. The outside of the hotel is dirty and looks abandoned the pictures that are online is not what the hotel looks like in person it’s horrible. I had to repeatedly ask for towels and was only provided with two even though it was me and three kids in the room. The tv is not kid friendly it only has about 10 working channels that are either news related or those old school shopping channel’s. I do not recommend this hotel they need a serious change of management that actually cares

Unfortunately, I have to gripe about my stay in room 108. ||I want to start by saying I wasn’t impressed at all for this hotel being listed as recently renovated in 2023. ||The ceiling was full of damage, likely from a water leak upstairs that was never repaired. ||The floors were dirty when we arrived, and we got stuck in the bathroom several times because of the faulty door. ||The cable barely worked, with only 2 or 3 channels available. ||The hotel looked very run down both inside and out.||The pool was full of bugs (ants, live ants, and bees), and there were no pool towels available. ||Leaves were scattered in the pool, the pool deck was run down, the lounge chairs had holes in them, and there was poison ivy around the fence. ||Some of the popcorn ceiling was missing due to water damage in the room.||The breakfast options were very limited: make your own waffles (using a communal tub of butter and syrup) and Corn Flakes cereal (with no bowls and milk from two Great Value brand 2% gallons). ||The lady working on Saturday night was rude to my wife when she asked for a broom to clean up a mess our one-year-old son made in our room.||On the upside, the beds were comfortable, and the staff members I dealt with were polite. ||However, the AC was set to 60°, but it felt like it was constantly over 70° the entire weekend. ||The parking lot was in poor condition with small holes causing puddles. ||The bathroom toilets flushed extremely slowly, requiring the handle to be held down for about a minute to flush fully. ||The tub was dirty when we arrived, with black spots in the corners.||They also had vending machines that were hardly even stocked.||They also only include only 2 pillows per bed in a double room, so be sure to bring your own if you can’t sleep with only 2. ||The tv also had the stripping around the screen off in our room.

I arrived at this Days Inn after we had a storm in Slidell that tore our apartment up. The place was nice and clean. All the amenities were open to us and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The general manager was on shift and made me and family feel right at home thank you Mr Thomas Simmons and staff.

Since the new manager Thomas has been here things have been peaceful. The pool actually looks like a pool and very clean now. The front desk lady has always been pleasant as well. It's very quiet in general.

This hotel is run down and disgusting. Where to even begin. My room had no towels, no trash can, and no hot water. There were overflowing trash cans by the stairs. My coworker checked in and got a room with mold all over the wall and ceiling, and the AC leaking a puddle in the room. When they brought this to the attention of the front desk, the girl gave coworkers an attitude, rolling her eyes and put her in a different room. That room had a stopped up toilet like someone had the worst BM and the hotel didn't clean it. There are broken doors and windows all over the place, and I don't know if they're fixing things or not. But don't take your chances with this hotel.

Since the new Manager Thomas has been managing the Hotel it has been running smoothly..I'm really enjoying it now since the management is different. The new front desk Clark Karlissa is the best she helps with everything I love her attitude and her personality she is enjoyment to see and be around.. every time I stay. Thank you all that works there ..I appreciate the hospitality that you all give.
