Really liked the staff at the desk and loved the rooms. The breakfast was good and the pancakes were awesome. Can't get any better for the price. The rooms were clean and the people there were nice. No pool though. Location was great they had everything close from pizza to home Depot to fast food and gas and grocery stores liquor stores and so on. Bars are great around the area too. No smell of weed in the hallways and no loud noise all night like there was at Red roof in New Britain. I appreciate the great service here.
The staff was great and the room was perfect! Nishi was amazing and took great care of me! I would definitely come back and stay again. Best hotel stay for the price. The breakfast was great too!! Thanks to everyone! The area is great as well! Good food within walking distance!
This hotel was a breath of fresh air! It's so hard to find cheap prices and clean rooms but this place hit the spot! No bugs. No dirt and grime. Safe, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was warm and the pancake maker is the coolest thing I've ever seen. Please spend your money here! And a HUGE thank you to the owners and staff for providing such a great place to stay. We will be returning!!
Undergoing renovations. Room was clean, staff was friendly, and great location close to the highway with stores and restaurants within walking distance. We were there for a wedding and it was close to the venue. Good price and place to stay for a few nights.
We normally stay at a Days Inn, if possible, when travelling. This one exceeded normal expectation. It felt like a higher-end hotel. It was recently renovated, with new paint and carpet on the hallways, and inside the rooms, it was upgraded to tile showers with coordinating trim tile. The outside had been repainted recently, and a fire pit added. They were re-landscaping the grounds as we left. The breakfast area was new and inviting, and the hot breakfast was a delight. We enjoyed eggs, yogurt, oatmeal, and the coolest pancake machine made us two pancakes in a matter of minutes. There was syrup and peanut butter and jelly to put on the pancakes. Also, a very nice surprise was the orchestrated hymns that were playing in the lobby and breakfast area. They were very subtle, and if you didn't know the hyms already, you would not notice they were hyms. We noticed, and were pleasantly surprised. The staff were very friendly. We definitely would stay here again.
The ONLY good thing I can say is it has easy access from the highway. The room was musty no where to put luggage up, the breakfast was poor. Switched to Holiday Inn Express after 1 nite!
Room and hallways wreaked of stale smoke. Drop ceiling in bathroom was dirty bent and tiles not in place. Condom wrapper at head of bed. Some sort of stain on mattress and headboard. Make shift toilet paper holder. Breakfast was sub par. Pancake machine not working. Coffee machine hot water didn’t work but decaf dispensed only hot water. Staff was unaware. Eggs were wet. Very few bagels available at 7:30. Staff was nice.
I applaud that a lot of the older Wyndham hotels are being bought (I assume) and then done over. As I travel around the country I’ve stayed in many of them and I’ve embraced their quirky comfort. Occasionally, though it all goes wrong as it has here. As I sit in my desk chair writing this, the seat is slowly moving down to the floor. I’ll raise it up, and then down it will go again. My door closes with a large bang each time I come in as it hits the doorframe near the top and I have to pull with effort to get it to close. There are no hangers in my room and nowhere to hang the towel I dry my hand with. The worst thing though is the loudest vibrating venting unit that sits at the top of the stairs near the lobby. You can hear it in the lobby, in the breakfast room and in ALL the rooms because it connects to the vents in the bathrooms. I was incredibly unlucky to have been given room 202, almost next to it, and was awakened by the noise and vibration in the early hours of the morning. Getting back to sleep was an impossibility as ear plugs might have helped deaden some of the loud noise but would have done nothing for the vibration. If you want to actually sleep in your hotel, I would choose another one. There will be no restful sleep here.
Goat yoga was so much fun, but it probably isn't for everyone. Some folks seemed pretty scared of the goats! A goat pooped on my mat. Have realistic expectations and know this is a close up interaction with live farm animals. They will jump on your b
Stopped in for lunch. From the Winter menu I started with the Sweet Beet and Arugula salad and followed up with the Cajun Flatbread. I have to say the salad was amazing, and I am not a huge salad person. The blending of flavors was just quite refr
