This place is now a Roadway Inn.|Context is everything.|I needed a clean bed to sleep in and not much more. |Upon walking into the room, it smelled fresh and clean.|The room felt clean, and looked fine.|The front desk had warned me that the TV might be difficult, and that the water takes a while to heat up. Both were true, and with a little patience both were fine.|This is the cheapest hotel in Ocala for Choice Points, so I will be back!

This place is pretty bottom of the barrel. Sketchy, in fact. |The initial room we were given we never even saw, as we couldn't get the door to open. Its door had obviously been kicked in at some point and the repair job was pretty poorly done. A quick glance around showed that all the neighboring doors had also been kicked in.|Our second room just reeked.|Our final room at least didn't smell. It had a double bed instead of the king we had originally reserved. The carpet was filthy. The tub/shower had been sloppily repaired at some point. Somebody had ripped most of the copper wire out of the cord of the iron.|If you are going to take a chance on a reservation here, definitely get the trip insurance so you can cancel and get your money back.

It's not a family place anymore. If you do stay here Lock your room doors and your car doors and check them twice.

To their credit, they are in the process of remodeling and I'm sure it will be better soon. My experience was not good. The bed was clean but the room was dirty. The wifi cut off every 10 to 30 minutes, so don't plan to work remotely. There is no coffee or ice. The fridge, microwave, TV, cable box and a light were all plugged into one outlet. The bathroom door is missing. I was woken up around 6am with construction trucks. I felt bad for the very nice lady behind the desk. It seemed like she started every comment with "I'm sorry...". There is something wrong when the desk person spends their day apologizing to people. The location is good so I hope the remodeling project solves the issues I saw.

Roaches in the refrigerator and a bed that was completely uncomfortable. Unable to get blankets or additional pillows and the towels were pathetically thin

The location was perfect, but that is about all. Online it says it is called the Rodeway Inn, but apparently it is a Days Inn? Upon arrival, I walked in to check in and noticed four other parties waiting ahead of me. I got in line and waited. Doug and Chris were the two employees on site when we arrives, along with a new trainee. They were apparently in the middle of shift change and were counting the drawers. I watched Doug count the same drawer over 3 times and get different numbers. Then Chris counted and got something different. Why they were announcing it, I don't know and why it was counted in front of the public, I also don't know. Regardless, we had to wait over half an hour for that issue. Then Chris and the trainee left and Doug began checking in the parties ahead of me. He checked in one customer and moved on. The second customer he could not check in because he didn't have "access" to select a room size and he paged Chris. He moved on to me after having to wait on Chris, he could not check me in for the same issue, so I also had to wait. Meanwhile, my husband and baby have been sitting in the car for over an hour now. He walks in and demands a manager as to what the hold up was. I walked out to be with the baby. Later, my husband walked out and said they cancelled our room because he was rude. Excuse me? The room was in my name, first of all. Second of all, it is beyond rude to make paying customers in front of you wait over an hour to check in at midnight at that. I explained my perspective to Chris and told him he really needed to learn some customer service skills and left. We will not return nor will we use this place. We would have wanted to stay here anyways, judging by the cigarette smoking trainee with her boyfriend watching her every move and the dirty homeless customers walking around barefoot in the lobby. Luckily, I was able to get my refund and we found another room for the same cost and it was much nicer anyways. Go to the Relax Inn down the road if you are looking for a hotel in this area. Avoid this place at all costs!

If I could give it zero stars I would. When I first entered the room it smelled bad. There were no curtains on the window, only a pull down shade which when lowered left a 2 inch opening on both sides. I went to turn on the TV and it wouldn't turn on. Looked behind the chest it was sitting on and it wasn't plugged in. Plugged it in and it came on but was looking for input. Tried every selection, HDMI1, HDMI2, etc. Nothing worked so I walked over to the office to talk to the manager. I couldn't call because there was no phone in the room. Was told the rooms in that building were waiting on boxes for the TVs. When I asked if there was a room that had a TV that worked he told me no. Went back to the room to take a shower and discovered there was no shower curtain so now I had a wet floor in the bathroom from the water splashing from the shower head. They put a 50 dollar deposit on my credit card that they said was to insure I didn't smoke in the non smoking room. Said it would be returned to my card in 5 to 10 business days. Read another review where someone said they didn't get theirs back so I'm waiting to see how that goes. I definitely would NOT recommend this place to stay in.

Wish I could give it zero stars. The website is super misleading. First room we were in, the water from the shower kept leaking. We went to speak with the first front desk staff, and he said the water pressure was like that in the entire hotel. Went back to the room, and found rat droppings under the bed, so we went back up and spoke with someone else. We finally got moved to another room, and it was a little better. Sketchy people there at night. The pool is still closed and the dennys has been closed down since 2018. would NOT recommend. Better off paying the extra money and getting a room at the holiday inn down the road.

The most amazing experiences can be had with friends here. We saw monkeys, manatees, snakes, alligators, birds, and fish in the wild. Yes that’s right, wild monkeys. Come see them!!! Don’t get too close though! Super wonderful place.
