Days Inn by Wyndham Joplin - Featured Reviews (1292)
Was afraid to stay after bad pics and reviews. But it's really clean rooms. Nice. Great staff. Warm, stress free environment for checking in and breakfast area. Breakfast consists of pancakes, yogurt, cereal n fresh milk, muffins, pastries, fresh fruit, bagels, with the small touches which means so much. Cream cheese, butter, jellies. Orange and apple juice. And plenty of fresh hot coffee. Front desk, housekeeping and everyone on staff are so friendly. And always make sure we have everything that we need. I really really like this place. Not sure where the bad pics and reviews were taken? I haven't seen anything like that. I can't believe the great rates! I would definitely recommend. Pool is great too.
Wish my husband had looked at the reviews before booking! First impression was awful. I used the public bathroom which was filthy. The seat was up and I could see pee all over it and even on the floor. The area by the entry to the rooms smelled like sewage. One door key didn’t work at all, the other took five tries. The hallway carpet was stained and it was hot in the hallway. The room is advertised as handicapped accessible but the bathroom door blocks access to the room itself. The bed was very high which was difficult for my disabled husband to get up on. The toilet had disgusting stains under the rim. One of the safety bars was BEHIND the toilet, which was very odd. There was no hand towel by the sink so I had to walk across the bathroom to the towel rack, dripping all the way, and no way to hang it once used.
The only good things: the bed was extremely comfortable and the a/c worked great. We did not shower because we could tell that water from the walk in shower would have flooded the bathroom. Next morning, there was no tray so that I could retrieve breakfast for my husband. The food available was cereal, bread, and pancakes. There was yogurt but no other protein which meant I couldn’t eat because I am lactose intolerant. These things may seem insignificant but to a disabled person they add up to a very frustrating experience.
*Wanted to add that the next night we stayed at a lovely Best Western Plus. For the exact same price, we got full buffet breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, pancakes, and more. Plus a spotless room!
Location was convenient to highway. Staff was friendly. Breakfast okay but just pancakes and pastry. No meat or eggs. Old and run-down. Rooms were not very clean. Found a hair and a fake eyelash on the sheets we slept in and everything was stained and dingy. Pros rooms were well built and quiet and beds were comfortable. Parking lot in poor repair and and overall didn't feel the safest here.
When we initially checked in, we were given what was believed to be a non-smoking room, however when we entered it was evident it was a smoking room. We went back to reception, and were eventually given a different room. When we entered, the room was thankfully a non-smoking room. I noticed that one of the beds fitted sheet was bunched up around the corners of the mattress but didn’t look in the bed at the time. Later on, I lifted the duvet and saw that the fitted sheet hadn’t been changed as there was hairs, both long and short, still in the bed. Due to the fact that we had already changed rooms once, we didn’t notify reception, and my partner just slept on top of the flat sheet so he wasn’t within the dirty sheets area of this bed.||Both of the rooms we saw were spacious, which was good as we were living out of our suitcase so we were able to leave them open. The reception was a lovely elderly lady, who was very patient whilst there was a lot of people checking in. She was apologetic when we requested a room change due to the non-smoking room mix up.
Pictures are deceiving. 1st room was flooded, they moved us with out hesitation to a different room. Front desk clerk was super nice. Room they moved us to, the bathtub was dirty. But we were only sleeping here so delt with it. Took forever for any of us to fall asleep due to people coming in and out of their rooms, slamming doors. Walls are paper thin. Can hear all the traffic at night.
8AM rolls around and house keeping is talking extremely loud on her phone and slamming every door she can find.
If you’re looking for a good nights place to sleep this place is not the place to stay. Disappointed to say the least. You get what you pay for.
Positive: Leaving. Negative: Room was dirty. Found an eyelash and a hair in our sheets. Linens were stained. Parking lot in poor repair and area did not feel safe. Breakfast was bare minimum. No water pressure in the shower. Not even a stopper for the tub.
Will NEVER stay here again! Horrible smells throughout - room smelled musty, hallways smelled like marijuana all the time. Dirty. No elevator. EXTREMELY outdated! Pool was dirty and there were lots of bugs in the water. Only cereal and toast for breakfast. Location felt unsafe. Parking lot portly lit and several homeless people roaming around at all hours. It certainly is NOTHING like the website advertises. We would’ve left but we weren’t able to find any other available rooms nearby. People say you get what you pay for. If that’s the case, this hotel owes me at least a partial refund.
If you want clean, this isn’t the spot for you. Everything was filthy. From the mini fridge, to the sheets (yes actual food, or so I hope, on our sheets), to the suspicious fluid on the headboard. Don’t forget the dirty moldy bath tubs. To top it off our specific room had a broken bolt lock so anyone with a programmed key could enter at any point. Which resulted in us blocking the door with an ironing board for safety, because the main entrance door was also busted out and blocked off near our room. There was nothing pleasant about our stay and if we weren’t in such a pinch with two small children AND losing power at home we would have immediately left. Definitely not worth the $90 they charge a night.

My family and I had to stop here unplanned due to a car issue while traveling. We honestly just picked the closest Hilton. I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The rooms were very clean and decorated very nicely. The beds were very comfortable a

This is an older hotel, but well maintained. This is my second occasion residing in this hotel, for my employment training. They offer a full breakfast; however, I wish they offered other meat options, and not just pork. The customer service is great
Such an awesome place with super gracious host. Stayed there for Thursday and Friday night so that we could see the comedy show and not have to drive home afterwards sat by the creek and spent the day relaxing kudos.
