Days Inn by Wyndham Florida City - Hotel in Florida City - 124 E Palm Dr, USA

I was very pleasantly surprised by this Days Inn. The rooms are well-appointed and clean, with wonderfully comfortable beds. The pillows aren't my favorite, but that's just personal preference. The pool area is nice and well-maintained. All of the staff were very nice. My only complaint is that the smoke detector beeped throughout our stay. It's hard-wired, so I don't know why it's beeping. It wasn't troublesome enough for us to pack up and move rooms. Just annoying. Especially for the price, it's a great place to stay.

This is a nice place with decent price. I arrived around midnight without booking online. The front desk staff patiently answered my questions and helped me book the room and check in. They provide nice early check-in services, plenty parking spaces and breakfast included.

The bad: The bathtub wasn't clean. Hair and grime everywhere. The baseboards are caked with dust and gunk. Floors felt dirty. All 6 pillows (3 per double size bed) are small and lumpy. Mirrors are cloudy. No coffee pot, but there were plastic wrapped paper cups. No iron or ironing board as advertised. No protein options at breakfast besides sugar- filled yogurt and milk. TV in our room didn't work. The walls need to be washed and/or painted. The bathroom and closet doors need to be painted. The positive: There was hot water. Mattress was pretty comfortable. Night manager was good at communication and answered our questions. Towels were clean. Soap and shampoo were provided. The freezer in the mini fridge worked amazing. Fridge was good too. Basically, you get what you pay for, but this was the least clean and well- maintained property we've ever stayed at. We paid $80/night.

Two stars for customer service. The all pretty area is locked at 9pm and your only choice is too sit by your room on the floor if you want to enjoy the fresh air. Front desk girl grumpy. During the breakfast, as soon it was 9am they actively started cleaning area, trash man deserves separate attention: having so load conversation with other staff, laughing and shaking trash bags right near our heads as we were trying to finish food, it felt disrespectful and obviously they didn’t care about guests.

After showering, we walked barefoot on the tile floors for about an hour. Our feet got BLACK on the bottoms. Please mop the rooms. The towel rack was falling off the wall. Our room did NOT get cleaned- we were there two days; when I asked about this, the slug at the desk said that we had to request this service. Since when? Why were we not told? Also we were not told about the breakfast (included in our stay). A truck was backed up near our front door and was started every hour during the night- to keep the inside warm- but staff could do nothing about this, and the exhaust was coming in our room. I expect at LEAST a 50% refund, and an apology. If not, this will be posted on social media- again and again.

My husband, I and my kids stayed at this location. Trashy doesn’t even begin to describe what me and our family experienced. Drunk men with shirts off, blocking hallways as big groups, weed smell everywhere you walk, stay cats meowing for food at our door early in the morning. There was no maid service at all for our room, no fresh towels for a new day at all. Broken walls and tile pieces missing on the wall where bugs and rodents could come in. The bed mattress slides and it’s not easy for 2 adults to sleep in comfortably. The pipes also make terrible sounds if you are in the shower too long. There was patch work in the shower and they didn’t even try to hide or make it look like it wasn’t fixed. It is a trashy and uncomfortable place to stay. Also it’s like it’s treated like an extended stay instead of a hotel. It doesn’t even deserve the name hotel, this was a motel. People were hanging their clothes off of the bushes by the pool too, including underwear, so that was awkward seeing. You honestly just don’t feel comfortable walking around the place. Go to your room and go to your car, that’s it. The place from the outside when you first get there gives you a false hope. I wouldn’t feel safe hanging out there with my kids at all. We had 2 toddlers and a baby with us. Also the door doesn’t lock truly for your kids to not open. We locked the door and did the door latch bc our son can just pull the door handle and it will automatically undo the door bolt. We had to keep the door latch on at all times and it was unsettling that you couldn’t truly lock your door from the inside. For what we paid it was completely not worth it. It was more like $50 a night NOT $127 at night that we paid. This was ridiculous and it felt like our only option. We only stayed for 3 nights and it was terrible. To be honest even if it was just me and my husband we wouldn’t stay there. We hated having the kids there after we had already paid. We thought we had a smoke free room however we believe every rooms smells like marijuana and has been smoked in.

This place is terrible. This is like an extended stay for nearly half of the property. Every morning people who live here are sitting at the pool super loud drinking and using a portable grill. Kids running around all day and night. I thought I was getting bit by mosquitoes while I was outside but on my last two days I stayed inside and got new bites from the bed. Found a roach the first day and thought we left the door open and payed it no mind this is Florida after all but when I found one crawling on the other bed I knew this wasn't a random occurance. Stay away you don't want this headache. Only positive about this place is the location to local food and shopping. This place is a dump and needs to be ran so much better by cleaner people. Everything is dirty.

Really nice room for the price with microwave and fridge, noisy because I was on the US1 side. Get a room on the opposite side. Does tend to have loud guests in the middle of the night.
