Days Inn by Wyndham Brewerton/ Syracuse near Oneida Lake - Hotel in Brewerton - 5552 Bartel Cir, USA

This stay has gotten all 5 people sick on our vacation. Visible black mold all throughout the bathroom and into the hotel room. Staff didn’t have much to say about it. The bedding looks like it wasn’t changed. The room didn’t look like it was cleaned well. Once you walk into the hotel and room it smelled like stale cigarettes, and it was humid/stuffy/no circulation. The air conditioner has nothing but a bunch of dust/lint ALL in it. Your allergies automatically get started being in the hotel. We had to check out early due to these issues. The breakfast wasn’t even breakfast, so don’t waste your time there. There is no microwave in the room and the fridge doesn’t keep anything cool. You turn it to max and it’s still warm, so your food will go bad in it. This hotel is in a decent spot where you can travel to different spots. If you can avoid this place do yourself a favor and do not even hit the booking button. Not worth the money and I definitely don’t recommend this place to anyone.

Things seemed OK on arrival. However the next morning, the "breakfast" was not edible and coffee ran out. Other people also just left because there was nothing really edible. The next afternoon after being out all day, there had been no room service and there were multiple areas on the already stained carpet that were wet.... like water seeping up from the floor (we were on the ground level-room 123); also water on bathroom floor. I would not recommend this place. There is a need for lots of maintenance and staff training. Overheard one person indicating that there was no soap in their room.

A nightmare. We traveled for a wedding nearby. This hotel was not even the most affordable option, at over $200/night but was the closest to our venue. Service was underwhelming. We spoke with several people about opting for an early check-in and each person was on a different page about the topic and if it was a possibility. For an extra $10/hour, we were finally told we could *maybe* check-in an hour and a half early if their staff could get to it. Upon arrival, we were able to check-in early which was a pleasant surprise given our conversations over the phone. Although, you were immediately welcomed by the smell of cigarettes and a certain staleness. The hallway carpets were stained and peeling up in high traffic areas. Our first room (emphasis on FIRST room) was a shock. It reeked of cigarettes and dampness. After spending several minutes in the room, we noticed two lamp shades covered in black mold, and unidentifiable stains on the walls throughout the room. We tried to consider that maybe they were "rushed" for our early check in but these are problems that take more than a day to develop. Unfortunately, we requested to switch to a second room as sleeping anywhere with black mold so easily visible is a major health hazard. The staff was willing to accommodate which we were thankful for, and he requested that we allow him time to inspect our new room prior to us entering to ensure there are no issues which was appreciated. Well.. The second room was easily 90+ degrees when we walked in. After spending quite some time trying to get the unit to work, a kind woman from housekeeping noted that it doesn't work... mind you, it was 80 degrees outside on this weekend. The staff thought this was acceptable. Now, we're on to the THIRD room! Now that we've completely run out of time to get ready for our wedding, we settled for this one. It was the cleanest of the 3, but was still dirty and had a damp odor. The shampoo and soap was crusty and obviously re-used. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It was incredibly expensive for what it was to begin with, in addition to how unkempt and dirty the rooms were when we got there.

We travel and stay in a lot of hotels for our kids’ sports. This is by far one of the worst places we’ve stayed in. Upon check in our credit card was charged multiple times. We were told it was a hold for the room which would be totally fine if they would have charged the amount we were told. There was multiple charges to our credit card that they could not explain. It was a complete mess and check in took nearly an hour. Our hotel room smelled bad and was outdated. Our bathroom sink was dirty and did not drain properly. Our friends room had a non functional toilet (wouldn’t flush) and they were told to just use the toilet in the lobby rather than having someone fix it or offer another room. We were told that breakfast was included but all there was were some dried crescents and a bowl of apples. There’s wasn’t even anything to put on the dried out crescents.

Avoid- find another place to stay. We stayed there for a night during our 15 hour driving trip. Location seemed to be prefect -right off I- 81, but that's about it. STALE Cigarette smell, old, stained carpet, stained arm chair and noisy ac with never changed filter. Outdated bathroom with old towels- (we had only 2 bath and 1 small one) Not even a bar soap. We just wanted to get out ASAP. Didn't have breakfast.

This place has fallen from grace very hard over the last 10 years. This last visit was probably my last time here. We were there 4 days. Our room had no black out curtains, hardly anyone was working, those that were working did not speak English, the vending machines were broken, the room smelled of water damage, the carpet definitely was, no microwave, broken clock, bug stained lamps, and a pitiful excuse for a breakfast. House keeping never stopped by even once. They literally asked if we needed room service as we were leaving. Not worth the price.

We’re a company staying here on business. Our employees checked into their rooms. There’s rotten food in their fridges and someone’s old clothing left. There’s no breakfast buffet and when you call to make a reservation local. They do not answer the phone. They can also offer discounts but they refuse. Stating you booked online so we can’t give a discount. Even though the room was booked via telephone by days inn. Payment was not even given at the time of booking. They ran our company card four times and it was locked out. Do not stay here! Stars only given because you have to.

Positive: Location was perfect for our trip. Negative: Had to ask for towels, breakfast was minimal, room smelled musty and staff had a bad attitude. Also have unauthorized charges on my credit card and the hotel will not answer the phone. Still trying to resolve this issue
