Days Inn by Wyndham Bellingham - Hotel in Bellingham - 215 N Samish Way, USA

Decent place if you need somewhere to stay. Can be concerning but it's alright. Stayed in the double bed room, it came with a big fridge, microwave, and a TV! I especially love, the placement of the painting that came with the room. The smell of the room is a bit vintage like but it's doable.

Flop house that they're trying to upgrade, failing miserably. I should have know for $188 a night over the Labor Day holiday was too cheap and there would be problems. We stayed one night, never again. Fortunately, I didn't see bedbugs (trust me I looked), but that ends the 'good' portion of the review. There was a spot on the wall behind the door that clearly had had a long mirror or something similar - my husbands guess for why it wasn't there anymore/ripped off the wall, was that it was 'exhibit #1 in the murder trial' - that's the vibe the room set off. The air conditioner on the wall had to be plugged and unplugged to work, the suspiciously sticky remote didn't work at all. The mini fridge in the room was dank and gross, the bed was both too hard and broken down at the same time, there was a newer TV (also with a sticky remote, I pray from the cleaning chemicals) with decent cable. The bathroom had water damaged, peeling, used-to-be-white wallpaper and a broken down, grey (not on purpose) tub. The 'continental breakfast' was three heals of bread, some instant smelling coffee, and syrup (although there wasn't a waffle maker or anything similar). Weird at best.

Room was not anywhere close to advertised. Misleading advertising on an older property that still needs updates to doors, locks and windows to make me feel safe. Heavy smell of incense covering the other smells emitting from other rooms indicate the lack of enforcement to the no smoking in rooms policy. The bright side is that the staff are great, but not enough to offset the downfalls of this property for us.

Clean rooms. Good price. Staff seem to like working there and care about the customers experience. Came in late(early am) from Newark. Pleasant front desk attendant, (even at 1:30 am). Just came from a 3.5 start Hilton that could use some basic hotel management lessons.

You get what you pay for. We didn’t have many of the problems other people did, the rooms clean and the door locks so it worked for us. We didn’t have any issue with people in or out of the hotel. It’s not the best part of Bellingham but it’s not like terrible either. It did what it was needed to do. Hotels old but that’s not an issue really. Rooms are clean.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Nice mini fridge with an actual separate freezer compartment and a microwave. The night desk attendant was very helpful and kind. Building is old and decor is dated. There is some trash on the grounds. Neighborhood is sketchy, but it is close to downtown and the waterfront, and the hotel has cameras on the parking lots. Plenty of parking in the rear. Breakfast was frozen toaster waffles, toast, and cereal.

You should know upfront you're getting an old hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful. My room was clean and the bed was very comfortable, and the price was definitely right. Where else in Bellingham can you get a clean hotel for under $100? I did not experience any of the problems people have described in other reviews. I was very happy.

What a joke. There was a sign when I first got to the hotel that the clerk was unavailable. I sat there for 20 minutes. When she arrived, she corrected me for not ringing the bell despite the sign that says she’s unavailable. When I registered, she corrected me for not dotting the “i” in Washington when I wrote my plate number and state. The room was pitiful. Ants all over the bathroom. The air conditioning and heat did not work. There was filth all over the front of the hotel in the back. There wasn’t enough parking in the front. There was active solicitation, both in front of the hotel and in back of the hotel. My room card key never worked once. They hide the continental breakfast behind the clerks counter which normally would be fine except there’s never ever anybody at the front desk. Inside, there’s no security doors are slamming all night long. There’s yelling in the halls, boogers smeared on the wall above the toilet and I am sure DNA traces were in the beds. Pay the extra $10 per night and stay elsewhere!
