Days Inn by Wyndham Austintown - Hotel in Austintown - 5425 Clarkins Dr, USA

I don’t even know where to begin. This was one of the WORST experiences I have ever had at a hotel in my life. First, I was told when I tried to check in at 7:00pm that my room was not ready, it needed cleaned and ready. Why was my room not already cleaned? Check in was at 4:00pm. I had booked a week in advance. I was told it would be a 10-minute wait, it ended up being a 45-minute wait. When I finally got into my room it smelled like alcohol, mildew and smoke. I asked for a non-smoking room. The manager kept giving the excuse we are short staffed. 2. I finally am able to get into my room. After a long day of horse showing and traveling all I wanted to do was relax. I get into the shower there is 0 towels. No washcloths, no floor towel nothing. So now I had to go to the front desk to ask for towels. There was no phone in the room to be able to ask for towels. When I get up front, the manager made me walk in the back with him to where housekeeping was and get the towels myself. 3. There is NO breakfast. It says breakfast included. I go down to get breakfast and it consisted of apple juice, stale muffins, and cereal. The coffee was also being given in plastic cups. That is a good way for someone to get burned. 4. I was told on this website there was no charge for my dog. He is also a service dog. They tried to tell me that there would be a $50 charge for him, and then asked me what my medical condition was, and that I looked too young to need a service dog. This was unprofessional and inappropriate. I will NEVER stay here again. This was one of the worst stays at a Days Inn I have ever had. I would have had a better stay in my horse trailer.

Very bad experience, unfortunately. The advertised photos they have up of the hotel must be from years ago. What you get now is of very low standards and poor customer service. The rooms were very dirty. When I approached the owner nicely asking for clean bedding, he got annoyed and told me he couldn't help me and waived me away. I understand sometimes employees do poor work, but clearly the owner showed a lack of care which shows at this location. Needless to say, I was forced to leave and the owner refused to reimburse the four days I did not spend there. Strongly do not recommend staying here. I uploaded photos of the issues with the room. I will also list the things that were found. - Small black bugs in bed under sheets, assuming bed bugs. - Stack of mattresses at dumpster suggesting a larger bed bug issue. - Found what I assume was use underwear in bed. - Overall dirty and unkempt room. - Toilet had was leaking on floor. - Shower dirty with what looked like urine. - Floors wet and stained. - Furniture had stains and covered in filth. - Room smelled like smoke and mildew. - Bed had blood stains and some looked fresh. - Debris and filt in sheets and pillow cases. - Smoke detector hanging from ceiling by exposed wires.

Rooms are gross. Carpets haven't been cleaned in who knows how long. Sockets don't work. Had to ask for towels and toilet paper. Was told they don't service rooms unless requested...we didn't request it but came back to room at about 1 am found the drapes to be opened exposing our personal things and my Tempur-pedic pillow which I always travel with had been stolen by who ever came I'm our room to clean.Of course the front desk person couldn't do anything about but would leave a note for the morning person. DO NOT STAY HERE HORRIBLE HOTEL!!!!

The place doesnt look bad on the out side except for the smell of pot. The room was a disaster is was not clean there was food and trash on the floor. it was 98 out side and the a/c was off the fridge was off and stunk the base boards were coming off the wall and there was a hole in the shower head the bathroom door is broken it was decent price but not worth it and cleanliness isnt there strong suit

Actually the most disgusting room I have ever stayed in. Infested with gnats and coackroaches- I guess I’m lucky I didn’t see any bed bugs. A women’s crop top was just laying in the room and there were damp, obviously recently used towels and washcloths hanging in the room. Every surface in the room appeared sticky. So much DNA all over that room. I left that place for another hotel so fast you would have thought it was a fire drill. This entire building probably needs to be condemned.

Find somewhere else. I'm a person who believes that sometimes mistakes happen and people/businesses should be given the opportunity to make things right. This business ignored me. Pro: The guy who was working the front desk at night was super nice. Cons: - King suite had no blankets. No sheets for pull-out bed. No supplies available at front desk. My son had to sleep on the couch using towels for sheets. - Room smelled smokey. - Room felt humid even after running the a/c. - Night desk attendant and morning desk attendant not empowered to make it right. Hotel management did not respond to communication requests. - Several other minor things weren't right either.

Absolutely terrible, don’t waste your time. Booked earlier in the day with the note that we would be arriving very late (like 1/2am). Generic pictures from the website made it seem ok. Front desk clerk was terribly rude, like we inconvenienced him for even arriving. Booked 2 rooms and there was absolutely no way we could stay. A huge hole in the wall, used cups on the counter, hair in the sink and ice tray, food pieces all over the floor and in the AC vent. I didn’t even check the beds but I doubt the sheets were fresh. The toilet in the second room did not work. Went back to the lobby to ask for assistance and his response was “I can cancel your reservation.” No apology or attempt to right it, just “I can cancel.” DO NOT STAY HERE.

Positive: "" Negative: Not clean, floors were sticky, bathroom gross, lamps were rusted in bedroom. They definitely had water damage and didn?t do much to repair the rooms. There weren?t a lot of options because of some local youth tournaments or we would have left quickly.
