Days Hotel by Wyndham North Bergen /NYC Area - Featured Reviews (571)
I was pleasantly surprised with our room. It was clean and spacious. I was very nervous after reading several of the reviews. The halls could have been cleaner but no issues with our room. We had deluxe room with couch and lounge area, plenty of room for family of 4. Breakfast was decent and more than I expected since is only listed as light Breakfast included. Staff was very helpful, part of our party arrived later at night and had to get new key. Free parking is huge plus and cost saver in NYC area. I would stay again if in the area.
My adult son and I arrived to find a pleasant front desk person but things went down from there. The sheets were not even real sheets (made from synthetic fibers resembling plastic). The bed was very uncomfortable and I hardly got any shut-eye the 1st night. Fortunately I scored a real cotton sheet from the maid's cart the next day and slept better the next night.
On the "customer service" aspect... on our last night I asked the front desk clerk to put my ice packs in the freezer and while she agreed to do so, she just threw them in the fridge instead and didn't leave a note telling anyone. So, when I asked about my ice pack (of course there was a new attendant the next day) she knew absolutely nothing about my ice packs and simply directed me to ask the staff in the kitchen. Fortunately, they found it but it was just "cold" and "not frozen," as I requested.
For me, the "last straw" was the day of check-out. No attendant was to be found at the front desk and as I wandered around the lobby and dining area, the manager finally showed up and indicated that there was an issue somewhere in the hotel and apologized for the inconvenience. I would have been okay with that but the front clerk gave me a dirty look and wanted to know what I wanted. When I said, "I'd like to check-out she grabbed my key cards and threw them in a glass jar and sneered at me with the words, "there!" I was shocked at her demeaner and attitude towards me and I almost left without my receipt but I quickly turned back around and requested it. Again, she showed no manners, printed it stapled the receipt and shoved it at me. No, "thank you", "good-bye" or "have a nice day". I can't believe they would employ such a disrespectful person to greet customers. Together with the sheets, unfrozen ice-pack and rude desk clerk I can guarantee that I will NEVER return to this establishment and unless you want the same treatment - I would choose another place to stay!
We stayed here this past week. We found roaches in our room. The manager even acknowledged there was a bug problem and there are traps in every single room. I saw two traps underneath my bathroom sink and a roach underneath also. I also noticed one crawling around my towel. They also have a lack of staff in the evening to deal with any problems that may arise. I don't recommend staying here at all. My family and I were disgusted and had a horrible experience. The hotel refused to give us any money back. I don't know how this hotel is given a 2.5 star rating on Expedia when it should actually be a half star.
Let me start off by saying that the pictures of the rooms don’t do the actual rooms any justice. The rooms are clean and you can tell that they were newly remodeled. The staff was more than helpful and courteous. I had a small issue that was quickly fixed by the lady at the front desk, Yani! On her performance alone, I would give the services 5-Stars!
Not Impressed with their cleanliness. As soon as I entered I smelled something bad. Smelled like hospital. Same smell was everywhere. Front staff is not friendly accept Kevin. When somebody enters atleast they should welcome their guests with smile. And now the room was other disappointment. In my room's washroom the water pressure is very slow. It seems they wants to save on their water bill.
Staff lovely, room and bed good size, more like super king than king size, really wide. The TV was the biggest i had seen in a hotel room before and had lots of channels/films to watch when we returned at end of day. ||Toiletries were provided but no showergel, so take your own if don't like using soap.||Plenty of plug sockets and USB sockets.||Breakfast set us up for the day, fresh fruit, yoghurts, Cereal, Sausages and eggs available everyday, pancakes, pastries and toaster. Although most of time there was queue for toaster as only 4 slice and not the quickest. Choice of beverages and juices I particularly enjoyed the apple juice.||Didn't like the paper plates and dishes or the plastic cutlery to eat with.||||A shuttle bus is provided if required to pick up from hotel in the morning to Times Square bus station at $10 each, each way. And can arrange with driver to pick you back up at 8.30pm their latest time to return. Or walk out of back of hotel and round the corner to Summit ave and a little bus comes along every few minutes just stick hand out and will stop. Cost of $3.50 each, cash and drops of at bus station too.||We found the hotel to be good value for money.||
We arrived in this hotel on the 01.may, we stayed there for 1 week.
We wouldn't have any problem if all worked how it should. But!
- First of all we couldn't watch the TV, the remote was not working at all.
- The breakfast was horrible, after 2 days we didn't feel like eating there anymore.
- Being able to open the window would've been a dream, but it was either really hot or super cold.
- Our roomkey wasn't working, we had to go to the reception every day to get a new room key or just to be fixed. One day it was 02.30am and we couldn't get into the room, we were waiting almost 2 hours in front of our door, because they couldn't fix the lock. They said, we can get an other room but without our clothes and stuff would be really nonsense. We asked to get a discount because of the inconvenience, they said, they would write it down for the manager so he can decide. On the last day we checked out, and the lady didn't even look at us, she didn't ask how our stay was, the worst personal ever, they shouldn't work in a hotel if they can't deal with people. Just a tip!

Excellent service and amazing food. We heard about the hummus and they were RIGHT! The LAMB was perfect. The mint lemonade was made fresh and the server gave me some extra pickles because I liked them so much! Definitely coming back and bringing
Very nice and clean park to spend weekends with family. A huge pond with geese and turtles help make you relaxed. You can see people come here for jogging and picnics by the pond. There is also a huge kids playground, newly built and clean. Lots of
I went to this hidden gem 3 days in one week. I found them on google . And I aim to bring all my friends, family and colleagues. I love that I choose them when I'm was in charge of organizing a get-together. They are super cool, offer great service,
Great spot to get take out. The monster platter is really good. I ordered takeout 25 min before I got there and they hadn't even started the falafel for my platter. They apologized and he gave me very generous portions to make up for having to wait.
Lovely park; free, adequate parking, clean, well-maintained, walkable, and safe.
There are some shops and food options along Bergenline Avenue. There was also a mini flea market along that street during the Saturday afternoon I visited.
