I've been going here for years, and it's a perfectly cromulent park. Not perfect, but it's fun and easy enough to get to on skateboard and most other methods, so I like heading down and swinging or running around the play structures after school, just before sundown when it's empty. On my most recent visit, one of the swings on the mulch-surrounded swingset was damaged, the chain had snapped and was draped overtop of the main bar at the top. The swings were always creaky, and I'm kinda shocked it didn't happen sooner, the equipment being as old as me. It doesn't have any restrooms, the sidewalk leading to the side entrance is a bit damaged but fun to skateboard on, and I think it could use an entrance that doesn't involve grass or going on someone's driveway, but it's still a decent park. Side note, does anyone know how to report the damaged equipment?
Small park That is in the middle of a neighborhood. Clean has a place for kids to play limited parking, but I see people parking on the grass next to the road. The fishing is hit or miss depending on what you are fishing for. Caught some bass the first day came back and not a bite at all. Overall a good place to burn a few hours. Plenty of ducks and birds to feed.

My kid loves this park! It's a hidden gem in Davie and there is always something fun to do. Whether it's the playground or the dock on the lake it's always fun.
In the early '80s L- lake was one of the coolest place, where there are condos in apartments now used to be a beach. Where everybody rode their dirt bikes ATCs dune buggies and horses. We all went swimming and fishing. Although we're the park actually is was just an empty area. It's nice, but disappointing all at the same time! So much has changed whenever we visit South Florida I shake my head!

I'm a local resident but never had been here. Very impressed with the nature center. My kids enjoyed it. I learned a lot about local history. We had a nice walk on the trails. We definitely will return. Very clean restrooms.
