David's Catfish House Pensacola - Seafood restaurant in Pensacola - 131 N New Warrington Rd, USA

The food was excellent! Our waitress was great. We could have had a problem because the ad for $6.99 fish, shrimp, or chicken does not indicate that it only applies to a side of French fries. There was no mention of this restriction when we ordered coleslaw and cheese grits (which were excellent!), so we were a bit upset when the bill arrived at the full price. Our waitress and management allowed us pay $6.99 but we encouraged them to notify patrons of the French fry mandate.

Kennedy was great! The food was good and didn’t take long to come out. I had the blackened salmon, baked potato and green beans. My co worker had fried catfish, baked potato and okra. We also both tried their coleslaw which was very good. My salmon could not used a little more blackened seasoning but that’s all preference. I did love that they had Tony’s Seasonings on the table. If I’m ever back in P.Cola, I will definitely return.

Great lunch prices, best gumbo I’ve ever had, thick and hearty

I would never return here considering there are so many other options. Something is bad wrong in the kitchen, our meal took forever and there were only 3 tables of people eating in the whole restaurant. We had ordered a simple fried combo and AYCE shrimp, and it was super slow. In fact a couple came in after us we ordered and got their meal before us. The initial meal took over 20 minutes and AYCE refills took 20 minutes and we are talking popcorn shrimp with an empty restaurant. I guess this restaurant will ensure you don’t get “too much” by making you wait forever between refills. The food was decent but no excuse for the horrible service therefore it’s a one and done for us.

Had the $5.00 lunch basket special that ends 8/16 and it was awesome. Catfish basket, popcorn shrimp basket and fried green tomatoes. I would have liked green onions in my hush puppies but still Kudos to the chef. Our server Maddy was outstanding. Thank you for the amazing food and great service.

Our server Tory was pleasant and courteous. We had our food in no time and everything was piping hot. Coleslaw is awesome and tastes like what my Mom used to make. I had the Catfish and fried Okra and wife gets her usual, a burger. Glad we got there at 5:30 before the dinner crowd. Place was filled up by the time we left.

Often when I eat alone as a single woman, I’m treated unfairly. Today was the exception. My server was super sweet and as attentive as I needed. I got fried green tomatoes because I love them and these were some of the best I’ve had. The catfish basket was more than ample and I took food home. All my food was served piping hot and quickly. I will be back!

Absolutely love this restaurant! Leslie was our waitress and I can't say explain terrific her customer service skills were... She was helpful, patient, efficient, knowledgeable, friendly, and kind. The fried shrimp was delicious and I don't even like shrimp! Fried Crab Claws were tasty. My daughter and I ate at David's last night, and we both left disappointed. The service was extremely slow considering there was a handful of customers. My daughter had the fried oysters and she said it was mostly breading and everything was just blah. I had the hamburger steak and cheese grits. If I gad to compare the hamburger steak to anything it would be comparable to Banquets Salisbury Steak with raw onions. Cheese grits were good and coleslaw was good Texas toast was missing butter and any flavor. David's is one of the places I said I wanted to eat again before leaving town, and was extremely disappointed all around.
