Dave's World Famous Bar & Restaurant - Hamburger restaurant in Chesterfield - 14306 S Outer Forty Rd, USA

This was such a wonderful surprise. We started with Bloody Marys with a chaser which were good. I had chicken strips which were huge, delicious and plentiful! I also got onion rings which were good. My dad got the French dip which was filled with meat and he loved it. He also got the French fries and we both thought they were the best fries we had ever had. The meals here were very economical. We both took home food. The staff was very friendly and there were a few side fun activities going on. I'd highly recommend this place for eating or drinking. Don't judge it from the outside. The best surprised are hidden.

So happy we found this place! My husband and I have been so disappointed at every restaurant we have gone too for the past few years probably. We are just always amazed how much we pay for dinners with mediocre food and service. This place was great. Nostalgic hole in wall where we could smoke and enjoy some Whiskey and the food was awesome! It will definitely clog the arteries but worth it every once in awhile!

Dave’s doesn’t have much personality from the outside and I even wondered if it was open. Well once inside you’re welcomed with a pretty happening dimly lit dive bar with neons blazing. However I say that in a positive way. The crowd seemed to be 40+ around 4pm Thursday. So I asked the bartender, what designates the world famous moniker? She claims it’s the burgers and the “heavy” pours. True and true. The burger is 8oz and had a really great flavor. Unfortunately the fries are coated and not my thing. With that said, the drinks are like “gasoline” lol…I’m not complaining… So overall I like Dave’s and will be back. Note: smoking is allowed here.

They had 1 bar tender and no waitress. After 10 minutes of waiting to be waited on, we got up and asked for menus. We then had to go back to the bar to order. It really was not extremely busy. There were maybe 8 people at the bar and one other table of 2. The cook brought the food to the table. I probably would not go back

Burgers were very good, fries and onion rings were excellent, and our waitress was great... but didn't realize that this restaurant still allows cigarette smoking. Unfortunately, won't return for that reason.

Food was 🔥, bartender was cool. Only complaint they smoke inside.

Top 5 burger in STL. Great service. The only knock is the smoking. My nose was running 10 minutes in and had to take a shower when I got home. Cool place otherwise.

Definitely a diamond hidden in the rough so to speak. If you've never been there. Don't be fooled buddy outside because the inside is filled with fun food and fantastic people. Try it yourself. You'll know what I mean
