Dave's Cosmic Subs - Sandwich shop in Elyria - 515 Abbe Rd N, USA

My first time here. I didn't get the sub I ordered and didn't know until I got home. But, that's fine as it's my first time there and I wasn't sure what I wanted. I am sure many people love them (that's why I tried them!) But to me the sub was over spiced and the meat was sliced super thick which is not my preference. Service was great, loved looking at all the rock and roll stuff!

we went to Dave's Cosmic Subs on Sunday, September 24, 2023. it was about 20 minutes after they opened. i ordered the Crazy Dave with extra hot peppers. luckily, we had take out. anyway, if I knew the name of the young lady that made our sandwiches, i would recommend she receive a huge raise! i absolutely love jalapeños, and she LOADED them on my sub! i also love sloppy sandwiches, and my sub didn't disappoint me! there was so many toppings on this thing that it's wrapping paper was dripping with it. my wife's sandwich, in contrast, was made perfectly the way she likes it. neither one of us told the young lady our preference...she read us perfectly! mine was one of the best subs I've ever had!! I'm 65, so I've had a few. thank you SO much for a wonderful experience!! i recommend Dave's in Elyria to everyone!!!

Pricey but the food is really good. My husband loved the Dave’s World Famous Sandwich. The potato soup & Dave’s Peace Steak were so good I ate it all. Staff is kind and the atmosphere in here is fun and hip.

Dave’s got me super sick, had 2 subs last night and definitely got food poisoning from at least one of them. I ordered a meatball and a steak sandwich, the steak sandwich seemed pretty off. Meatball was alright. Overall very disappointed as Dave’s used to be alright, but with how nonchalant the service is, the complacency of the product isn’t a surprise.

So good but not cheap. Found this place on a random outing and boy were our sandwiches good. $40 for 2 large subs, 1 "small" sub and 3 drinks. They have 8" and 16" subs. We had 2 Originals and a tuna. All were very very good. Counter staff were really nice, music alone might be worth the money.

Love all of the difference sub choices. Very good sauces. The restaurant itself has great aesthetic for being as small as it is inside. I’m excited to try more of the subs on the menu.

Horrible experience. The overworked manager girl was rude and upset taking it out on customers. Customers were cutting the line as we all stood there waiting on cold food in a stack on the little shelf. We left without subs. Sad.

There is only one downfall to Dave's cosmic subs, it's that they don't have it in Michigan and I am stuck craving it's deliciousness until I come to town! I'm the pickiest eater .. and I love this place!!
