This bar/lounge is located on the 3rd floor inside the Ritz Carlton hotel. They have live jazz on Wednesday through Saturday. There's bar seating with one TV and couches and other lounge seating throughout. Getting a seat on a weekend evening can be tough so I'd recommend getting there early if you have a group and prefer to sit.
Third floor of the Ritz Carlton and the perfect paragon of a New Orleans jazz bar. We showed up around 9pm on a Saturday night and got a table in the outer area; swooped a better table near the stage when we saw people leave. Expensive drinks but the atmosphere is what you're paying for.
The food was decadent! We ordered the carpaccio, blue crab beignets, lamb shank and a pasta dish I can’t recall the name of. Everything was cooked perfectly and was worth the money.
High tea is a must!!! We listened to a harpist while being served delicious finger foods. They play lovely jazz music at night as well. I highly recommend this hotel bar, one of my favorites in New Orleans.
Fantastic lounge for jazz and live music. We went for the afternoon high tea, which is a total treat. Definitely put this on your list. Shout out to Terriell our wonderful server, she went out of her way for us today!
While the Davenport Lounge at the Ritz-Carlton New Orleans serves drinks, snacks, breakfast and hosts jazz music on certain days, our personal favorite is “afternoon tea.” Reservations are required and they are currently only doing it on Saturdays, but this is one of our favorite things to do in New Orleans. Even if we aren’t staying at the Ritz, we still make sure to find time to enjoy this awesome 3 course treat consisting of savories, scones, and desserts. Also, there are several dozen teas to choose from and everyone we have tried has been amazing! This is just a great experience with great tastes in the plush and beautiful Davenport Lounge. We should also mention that the service has always been outstanding as well.

Lovely place to listen to late night jazz. However, it does get crowded quickly and seats are on first come basis. Drinks were okay. Crowded times will mean you will have to wait for your drinks but you can also walk up to the bar.
