Small, kid friendly center. A couple of hands on exhibits with sting rays and other sea friends. Self guided tours thru exhibits with an outdoor area as well. The kids liked it. Small gift shop and rest rooms. Worth a trip if you plan on spending the majority of the day on the island. Pricey for a family of 4, including ferry fees each way.
Great small aquarium. They have a touch stingray tank. They also have touch tank and specimens inside that could be handled. There are many animals to look at. Very educational and lots of fun. There's an outside boardwalk and deck on the water that's also beautiful and educational. Recently remodeled. You've got to try it.
Had a great time on a two day field trip for 4th and 5th grades. Our DISL guide Mrs. Virginia was awesome, parents and students all learned something. The dorms are nice and clean, might need extra blankets if traveling in the winter early spring. The cafeteria meals were ok, but the place was always very clean and the ladies were very friendly. The Estuarium reminded me of a very small Chattanooga aquarium.
