Second time coming here and always have been busy. I believe is really popular in this area. It’s a real American restaurant. The waitress are always nice and kind but there not enough in order to give a better service talking about waiting time. It’s not my favorite style food (I like more healthy food lol) but it’s my boyfriend’s style so he loves it. He got waffles with scrambled eggs and bacon and he said it was yummy!
My friend and I stopped in for lunch on a whim. I was attracted to the picture of a dog saying "doggone good food". Apparently Darrell's is a chain of restaurants with multiple locations in the Marion, Sumter, and The Villages area, which I have never heard of before. They are open for breakfast and lunch. My friend described it as a real diner. It has customer restrooms, free off street parking. They accept cash, credit and debit cards as payment. Menu is not robust: one double sided menu coveted the extent of the items, but it has common breakfast and lunch options, which was good enough for us. I didn't see that alcohol was served (which makes sense for their operations hours). The tables and dinnerware were clean, staff were friendly. It did take awhile for my bacon and Eggs to arrive while my friend's bacon cheeseburger that also took a bit too long, arrived way before mine. It wasn't busy, so the delay and gap in service of the 2 meals didn't make sense, but the food was good enough when it did get here. They air conditioned inside dining, and a few outside table with a prominent bowl of water for guest dogs. I wouldn't object to going back another time. It was okay.
We waited almost an hour for our food and then got served garbage. Still hadn't been served my hash browns when we walked out hungry. Disgusting!!!
Stopped in the other day and was a great experience from the second we walked in the door. Food was pretty good and fairly priced. Still a little room for improvement but for what it is it's expected. Service was on point, beyond what you would expect. If they keep the same energy and quality this will be our regular breakfast spot.
This is exactly what you would expect from an American dinner: a good basic breakfast/meal size for a decent price. Service was great and prompt. They're very accommodating with their menu.
Good food, friendly service, a bit pricey for what it is for breakfast ($2.99 coffee).
Our group of friends ate breakfast here on a Tuesday morning in October of 2022. We enjoyed our meal and Carolyn was helpful and friendly.
We meet once per month for breakfast and this stop was noticeably more expensive than our other stops. I don't drink coffee, but my friends who do definitely were a little surprised by the $2.99 price for a cup of coffee. Entree prices were fair and included a side or two.
There are a total of 13 Darrell's locations as of today and lunch prices are a little more in line with the market, so I suggest giving them a shot for lunch.
I stopped in at dinnertime. The digital board said 12.99 for a list of dinner choices. One was meatloaf. The waitress when she greeted us mentioned the meals and said they were 13.99. when I got the bill the meatloaf was priced at 14.55. The waitress said the manager hasn't gotten around to changing the digital board but it still did not match what she quoted. This place needs to get their act together.
Darrel's is the typical home town diner EXCEPT the prices seem to have been lifted from LA or NYC. Over $3 for a cup of diner coffee! I ordered a bacon biscuit and coffee and my bill with tip was $15.00! Waste of money. Everything is mediocre except for the prices. You're better off picking up something from 7-11
They just recently opened and wow, it did not disappoint! After 10 minutes of deciding what we wanted (they have a large selection to choose from) I ordered the Italian Stallion and my wife ordered The Southern Bell in a wrap. Both sandwiches were de
Came here looking for something different from the typical Waffle House breakfast. Food was amazing with flavor and the woman at the window was really helpful in choosing options from the menu. The chicken arepa was bursting with flavor. The burri
Iâve dined at this location at least 2-3 dozen times. I remember showing up hoping to eat at what was Sabores Latinos and disappointed that place was gone, but I was quickly won over.
This place is great and it has gotten significantly better over
Had the tuna wrap and fries. Very good, hot fries and large portion. Others at my table loved their meals also (fish n chips, shrimp, hot turkey meal) they thoroughly enjoyed their dinners.
Good service, reasonable prices. The draft beer is only bud
Driving by, I saw the advertisement for their biscuits & gravy so I had to stop in, I was on my way to eat somewhere else.
Had the Tennessee omelet with a biscuit and gravy. The biscuit was delicious and the gravy was perfect.
5 stars is not enough. 25+ stars is more like it. I love Darryls. Especially their people. Servers are spot on and the cooks know their stuff. Never had a less then excellent meal here. And ohmygosh, their coffee!! PLEASE NEVER CHANGE YOUR COFFEE. IT
