My experience with the Daniel Gracie gym and team is seeing what it has done for my son and the focus and dedication he has for this sport. He is enjoying his time and learning so many things here. He is 100% dedicated to something he chooses to be involved with. He loves it. I am seeing the affect and impact that Cody and the team of mentors have on my son. He has always been a great athlete and this really gives him an opportunity to compete at a very high level of focus and dedication. It is also a great place to go if you are just getting started. It all starts with building blocks and this is a great place for a foundation in the sport of martial arts. I’ve been coming to DG in Grand Rapids for a while and have been coming to this location in Kalamazoo regularly since they opened. The instructors, Cody, Ron, and Miguel, are amazing teachers and make learning BJJ a blast. They push you to get better in a way that is encouraging and at a pace that works for you. I love this team and look forward to getting better with them!

I visited from my home gym, Renzo Gracie Academy, in Manhattan (Blue basement) and was very impressed by the instruction and facility. The instructor, Eli, was friendly and patient in demonstrating the moves and the facility was kept clean and new. Great experience and would recommend.

Couldn't even say enough great things about these guys. I've been training at the gr location for two years and I've gotten a blue belt from them. Nice people, no egos either, just positive people who want to help you! I have my ten year old daughter going up there and it's something we both enjoy doing together very much. I would honestly tell anybody to at least go and try one class you will not regret it! Kalamazoo, consider yourselves lucky to have a gym of this caliber open up in your backyard!

I’ve been going to classes for a few weeks and have had a great experience. This gym has top-notch instructors that can tailor techniques to newer people just getting into BJJ. If you are nervous about starting because you are new, I would highly recommend coming here, and the first class is free.

This is one of the few gyms in the area that embraces all levels to BJJ. It could be your first day as a white belt or you could be a purple belt, they’ll still find a way to accommodate your experience to the sport and help you jump levels. You get to improve while you’re there and make friends after… highly would recommend this place to anyone looking for a new gym or to start!
