This place is the best ti have an event. The trees keep it nice and cool. I am impressed.
This place was awesome! The walk was beautiful. My grandson and i was a most stunning nature walk...with beautiful trees of all sorts...huge Ginko trees. Nice little benches along the way to sit and take in the sites. Then he wanted to walk up the stairs to top of the hill...we walked down the hill. It was a refreshing and peaceful walk. Seems much safer and pleasant than many years ago.
The new fitness stairs and obstacle course are great. The obstacles course os for the kids. The stairs have one set of hiking stairs 60-70 to get onto the greens from the parking lot on the NE corner of 88th and Western then you can loop aroind the sledding hill to get to the fitness stairs. The fitness stairs are new poured concrete. For me they feel a little safer than Palos did the last time I was there. One loop around going down the hiking stairs and up the fitness stairs is about 1/5 of a mile. Its a nice work out if youre trying to gey back in shape. The field house has also been updated. I hear there's a paved trail on the north side.
Always an interesting walk. You czn even see some of the neighborhoods in Beverly! My dog, Eleanor, and I enjoy the variety!!!

Fantastic location! Had a large family gathering. Parks and recreation came out a couple times and changed trash, port a pottys were cleaned and stocked except for sanitizer and smell free. Plenty of parking. Room for all our shenanigans. Police popped in to verify the permit. Family was able to have DJ, Bounce house, Football game 20 ish picnic tables were provided. We will be back.
I visited region 9 trail which is 1.1 miles. The trail and park is peaceful, clean and beautiful. I recommend that you go to the park, enjoy the weather and treescapes as the foliage changes with each passing season. Absorb the sun. Take a seat on a bench. Slow down and enjoy life's moments. ---- Update. Visited the park on 12/4/2022 at 9am to witness one of Chicago s longest running parades "Toys for tots motorcycle parade" stay warm and comfy by parking in the nothern parking right off of 83rd street.
It was my first time at that location. My family rented out the pavilion for my auntie 70th birth anniversary. It was very nice, super clean because we went thru the entire place. I was very excited for my family. We will be using that location again. I will find out the caterer, best tacos 🌮 & Tortas ! It was a night to remember. Thanks.......Alot!
