Fun place for the antique candle pin bowling experience. Owner was super nice and there were lots of personal touches to our reservation. We stumbled upon this hidden gem while we were staying close by. Would recommend for a fun family trip or date night :).

What an absolute blast! Love the vintage vibe! Love the history! What a joy the owner is! Food is super yummy too! if you don’t visit while in town you’re missing out on a fun time!

This place was so much fun! The owner made us feel so welcome, there’s a touch tunes and it was our first time doing candlestick bowling! 10/10 would recommend!!

This was such a wonderful experience! It was our first time candlepin bowling and we had loads of fun. The owners were wonderful and welcoming. The atmosphere of the entire space was amazing and inviting. Autumn the Owner/operator is truly amazing and so nice , she goes above and beyond for her customers which was really just icing on the cake ! We will defiantly be coming back !

What a great time we had. Owner is fantastic and really wants to be a part of the community. Help support this small business. Candlepin is much easier to play so younger children and older adults, even those who are not so physical would have a great time. We will frequent here often. Too much fun!!!!

What a great little find! We were looking for something to do in rural Maine on a wet day and came across candlepin bowling at D'Amandas in Ellsworth. We were not familiar with this variation on the ten pin version. Candlestick pins and much smaller bowling balls, but otherwise everything familiar. And these bowling alleys and pin-setting machines are some of the oldest dating to the 1940s. We enjoyed our bowling so much we went back the following day to play pool and enjoy the atmosphere again. D'Amanda's one employee - her only employee - presumably self-employed, is passionate about what she does, full of stories and great at welcoming folks and helping them understand the variation of the game. Well done ! D'Amandas.

Brought our out of state family here while they were visiting, and had an absolutely amazingly fun time. The owner is fantastic and extremely knowledgeable about Candlestick Bowling. They are in the process of fixing up the place & lanes but that did not distract us in the least! We will definitely go back again!

Probably one of the most fun games I have ever played. Spent 2 days playing with my dad while I’m on vacation and it’s been amazing. The atmosphere is really positive and fun. Things are clean. Amanda keeps the place running and is super nice. It’s one of the only places that is still winning the battle against the undefeated Father Time. Don’t miss out if you are in the area.
