Was a nice experience. Website is rough to read to find out about the ride. The train reminded me of one we take at the zoo back home. Kids all loved it and enjoyed the park after
The park was beautiful and well maintained. The train ride itself is more like a really slow tour of the park, and we were recommended not to sit up front because you get a face full of exhaust. One of the park staff was really rude to some parents in the playground area and they all ended up leaving. All in all, one trip to the park was enough. But a picnic or maybe some catch and release fishing looked pretty nice.
Lots to do, spent 4 hours here and the kids (and dog) had a blast the entire time. Railroad is $3.50 for residents and $4 for non-residents. It's a nice ride. Also has a huge playground and splash pad, as well as a playground for smaller kids on the opposite side of the park. My boys enjoyed the skate park.
This place is great play grounds and splash pad large enough for all the kids.... shaded area for adults right next to the splash pad.. note for moms and dads bring a fitted sheet
This is a great park to take children of all ages. The train ride is super cool. If you go a lot, it's better to buy a packet of tickets instead of individual tickets. It's not a short ride either. It lasts at least 10 minutes or so. It's well worth it to see everything that the park has to offer and to see the ducks and the geese and the coots swimming in the lake near the fishermen who are casting their lines from the shoreside. It lets parents see different baseball and soccer fields basketball courts and the two different playgrounds—one with a splash pad and a smaller one without a splash pad. The train also rides close to the veterans memorial, which is an awesome tribute in the middle of this huge park. It doesn't pass by the large roller rink or skate park, but that's okay because that would be a huge detour. People get to see that when they drive into the parking lot anyways. 😁👍
It was an educational and fun filled picnic to the Anthem Community Park & Railroad Park. My toddler enjoyed the trip for its train ride, splash pad & the play options the park offered. On the otherside, I & my wife enjoyed the greenery, the peaceful ambience, the blue waters & beyond everything the fact that our kid liked it. And then, all fun is no fun with no food for an adult mind like us. Enjoyed some delicious chitranna, mosru anna, kayi kadubu & kayi holige, thanks to lord Ganesha 🙂. We wrapped the trip as we begun it, with a hot masala chai! Here are some pictures!
Amazing family friendly park experience. Perfect place to go when it's hot so the kids can play in the splash pad. The train is an added bonus!! Lots of dessert wildlife to view while we rode the train.
Staff said train was leaving at 1230 when I asked at the window while buying my ticket, at 1226 the train started blowing its horn as if it was leaving, I ran over to the staff driving the train as it had not left the station yet and told her we had our tickets for the 1230 ride and she said “your just going to have to wait for the next one” I explained that it’s not 1230 yet and if we could just get on. The train was almost completely empty but she decided that the appropriate customer service response was to yell “it is 1230 and everyone in line is on” I again explained “you said it was leaving at 1230 and no not everyone is on, it is not 1230 can we please board” But she refused as my 5 year old watched in tears that she couldn’t go on her favorite train. I have been coming to this train for many years and have never experienced such horrible customer service, it would have taken nothing for her to allow us to board the train that was still sitting in the station. This will be the end of my support of this company.
