Dairy Queen Grill & Chill - Fast food restaurant in Amherst - 7502 Leavitt Rd, USA

My husband ordered a very specific cake over the phone yesterday afternoon for pick up for this evening. Not only did he need to repeat himself multiple times on the type of cake or the name of the birthday person the cake was for, (even spelled the name out) it was supposed to say “Happy birthday Gus - Roll a con save” and it was supposed to be on a sheet cake with strawberry cheesecake, when we received it- the name put down was “Jess” - which no big deal, we improvised, but it also was a standard ice cream cake with chocolate and vanilla ice cream with the cookie. At this point I decided it may be in the stores best interest to know of this mistake in order for them to be aware it happened so that it may not happen to anyone else. I spoke with the manager, explained the situation and gave her the information on what was expected vs what we got and even provided pictures of both the slip the team member wrote the information on and the result of the cake for their investigation. I then get a call from the owner informing me that she spoke with the team member who took the order and they (the person who took the order) assured her (the owner), that my husband (whom i was in the room with when he made the order) failed to mention the type of cake he wanted (which i tried assuring her that I was in fact present for the conversation and even had him confirm with the person about the type because that’s what we for sure wanted) and so there was nothing she could do because there was no way her employee would make a mistake because apparently for specialty cakes such as that, we would need to prepay at the time of the order and she wouldn’t have forgotten that since it’s been in effect for close to a year.

ALWAYS the BEST service around!! Everyone is very nice and friendly. The food is good and reasonably priced. The blizzards, oh the blizzards are the best!! I feel like I'm family every time I go to this particular DQ. Keep up the amazing work! ❤️

Easily one of the best DQ's in the area. Food is always hot and fresh, everything is made correctly, and the people who work here are some of the nicest fast food employees I've met, and they seem to care a lot about quality!

I'm used to their fries being hot and crispy. Not so much today. They were less than room temp and limp. I was full from other food I had so didn't take them back to the counter for replacement.

My mom's peanut buster parfait looked great while my sundae was lopsided and very little whipped cream. Didn't get any napkins, but I keep some in the car. Long line, and took a while to get through.

Picked up an excellent ice cream cake here. At a later date, had the $6 dollar cheeseburger meal which includes sandwich, fries, drink and small sundae. The burger wagood id, the fries slightly better. The sundae was excellent and the service was prompt and polite.

Had a birthday cake to pick up and accidentally showed up half hour before they opened. Called the store and they let me in early to pick it up, saving me a bunch of time. And cotton candy blizzards remain the best dessert ever.

This DQ is always busy but they always get our food right and in a timely manner. The chicken tenders can be very dry sometimes but that’s the worst we’ve encountered at this location.
