Dairy Queen Grill & Chill - Fast food restaurant in Hixson - 5433 TN-153, USA

Great fast food place. They have a good menu. Prices are fair. The restaurant is generally clean. I have had good luck with the service as well. There is a nice patio which is usually clean and comfortable. I recommend the location next time you want decent fast food or ice cream.

Had a burger and fries only. Was the only person in line and it took about 15 minutes. My expectations were to have a good burger. What I received tasted like a soy bean frozen piece of meat. Did not meet my expectations.

Update: Unusure of what changed the past 3 months, but costumer service plummeted. Rude, inattentive, slow, and the quality of the food is shameful. Tried going back a few more times hoping it’d be better, but unfortunately something went horribly work with management. Disappointing, but Sweet Treats opened up behind them and that has been where my money goes now. One of the best DQs I’ve been and I’m super picky! Their blizzards are so well made, not too runny. Fries are always just right, burgers are amazing. The service is always friendly and quick. Clean tables every time. Just overall fantastic place

Food was hot and fresh, wait wasn't terrible. Basing this review off the Smart aleck ice cream maker. Was with my cousin on a road trip, we stopped here on the way back home. We ordered I finished my order went to the restroom as he paid. Our ice cream was finished and sitting on the counter. As I was walking by to go sit down she screams to the top of her lungs the two items by name(not our order #) she proceeds to speak loud enough to be heard saying " I've already called it out, I don't know what their problem is" . Your attitude goes a long way lil miss . Got your store a 3 star. Now everyone else I interacted with. Perfectly fine. Especially Ms.E talking to the customers, making her rounds and just full of smiles.

This used to be a great DQ but over the past few years things have changed. Management doesn't seem to care about customer service and they are quick to make excuses. The food isn't as good. Portions have gotten much smaller like everywhere but the prices have gone up much higher. Other DQ I have been to have lower prices. Any ice cream size under a large is more or less a small. I ordered a medium sundae and it was the same size as the small cone we got for free on the app. Blizzards don't have as much ingredients anymore just ice cream. Burgers haven't been that warm either. Sure wish the owners would make changes to make it more like it used to be. For now we will go to a different DQ or other business.

My hamburger was room temperature and the fries were slightly cooler. It's like they're not even really trying. I asked for a pup cup of ice cream for my dog. Usually they don't charge me for it or maybe there's a slight charge but today they charged me almost $4 for it. I told the cashier it was for my dog but apparently it didn't register with him. The guy running the cash register's mind seemed to be somewhere else today. When I brought back my hamburger because it was made wrong he asked me if I already paid for it...I just kind of looked at him and said of course I paid for it I wouldn't have it if I didn't pay for it. I'm so tired of subpar and employees who really don't care about their job. I'm just going to quit going to places unless I know they're going to do things right. Dairy Queen used to be reliable and their food used to be hot and cooked to order but I got cold food today. I'm sorry but there are too many other options available than to waste my money that I work hard for. After reading the other complaints it's obvious that the owner doesn't care either. Most of the responses are just a half -hearted " I hope you give us another chance" I don't know about you but if I'm running a business and somebody's upset or wasn't treated right I'm going to make it right not just throw out a "Hope you come back" response. That shows that they're not really interested. Case in point, there have been several complaints about people being told they can't get a hamburger after a certain time on certain day. Instead of addressing the issue or making things right management or owners responses to these complaints online are disingenuine and do nothing to help the situation or the problem.

The dairy queen is open till 11 but I could only order half of the menu after 8pm I was told. I could not get a burger after 8pm! On a Saturday! And I had to ask for my blizzard that was just sitting on the counter top! Cashier’s were nice though.

Service manner in which they provided while ordering .85 cent bizarre at the counter was very frustrating and confusing. Where the manager tried to assist but made things worse, the way the manager handled this situation and communication with the customer was handled very unprofessional. Management staff displayed very poor customer service skills, and extremely rude to the customers at one point even starting yelling at the customer..
