Dairy Delite - Ice cream shop in Lakeville - 20885 Holyoke Ave, USA

Finally tried this famous little spot in town and enjoyed the hot fudge cake. There was a little too much fudge for me (thought I’d never say that!) but it was still good and the staff made it work when I asked if I could have a different ice cream instead of vanilla. A local favorite for years, this charming walk-up ice cream stand delivers delicious treats for fair prices. Open in the afternoon/evening in Spring, Summer, and Fall, it's a popular downtown Lakeville meet-up spot that's great for families. In the last couple of years they've streamlined their menu (almost all deserts now) and brought in hand-scooped ice cream by "The Chocolate Shoppe", which is fantastic stuff. They also serve soft-serve in many forms, all of which are tasty. I've sampled a number of their malts and shakes -- they're a delicious nostalgic time-warp to bygone days. Be prepared for some waiting -- the line leading to the single ordering window can stretch to the curb on hot summer nights. Then it can be another 5 - 10 minutes of waiting for them to fulfil the order, which you pick up at the opposite window. Mercifully, there are a number of picnic tables to sit at and there is a playset with swings and a slide that the littles just love. So, if you're not in a hurry and are looking for a delicious home-grown treat, you could do a lot worse than Dairy Delite.

Love this place in downtown Lakeville. Great quality ice cream, thick shakes, crunchy waffle cones. Expect a line all summer, this place is popular. The customer service from the young staff has always been excellent, they handle quite a lot of customers every night.

Great ice cream. Pretty affordable. Long waits because it's popular. They have a small play area for kids, which is nice so they can play while you wait

I love EVERYTHING about this place. The employees are so kind and helpful. Even when they get busy and it's warm out, they still do their best with a smile and kindness. I'm hooked, every time I need sweets, which is far to frequently, I will be going here. It's such a kind and community based atmosphere, honestly just a wonderful little place. Highly recommend. The banana shakes are also FREAKING DELICIOUS. You don't know how hard it is to find good banana shakes 😭😍

Great place. They have a small playground for the kiddos as well as seating for anyone going there. Could you a little cleaning up, but it's got a great neighborhood feel with the state it is currently in. Still though. A little love never hurt. One other thing that was good is that they have some food (from the grill) offerings as well. It's a one stop shop for a hot afternoon. Good stuff. Soft serve was on point. Moose tracks ice cream was legit. Highly recommend it.

Awesome spot away from corporate America. Support local and their ice cream was better anyways!! First time there and I wouldn't hesitate to come back anytime we end up in that area!
