This is a wonderful little Quaint corner in Port St. Joe. Food was awesome, but I am going to say you need to get there early. They do run out of some items. We had the best sandwich, "The Dagwood" comes in an enclosed box with chips and an amazing dip. The atmosphere was really nice, some covered seating and some out in the open. I highly recommend this place , especially if you are passing through.
Nice setup. Very friendly service. ALL food made fresh to order. Might be 10 minutes, but SO worth the wait. Very generous portions. First time for a stop while passing thru... going to stop everything now. Thank you
Only open for lunch on the weekdays. And it's A MUST!!!! We absolutely LOVE treating ourselves here! The quality of the food is on point, and staff is always pleasant! Highly recommend adding this to your stop or list of faves!
Nice little spot in Port St. Joe. The Reuben and Dagwood Dog were recommended so I had to try! The Reuben was very filling and loaded with pastrami and sauerkraut! The dressing was spicy and blended well with the sandwich. Be careful as this is a messy sandwich due to the sauce! The homemade chips were crisp and warm, but the star is definitely chip dip AKA"Crack" dip!! A blend of cream cheese and spices played well with the warm chips(you can't have extra dip either).
The dog looked tasty, but was very salty and the texture was soft, not a fan.
Awesome sandwiches and fantastic service! They went above and beyond to accommodate my food allergies in a very kind way. Our whole family LOVED their food. They have alot of options for sandwiches, tacos, hot dogs, salads and smoothies. Great flavor and super fresh. Dagwoods is now our go to spot for lunch when in Cape San Blas/PSJ.
5⭐ for the service!!!! My husband and I were out fishing in the bay and dragged in late to lunch. We try to support local business and went to downtown Port St. Joe to find something quick to eat so we could head back to fishing. We walked up to Dagwood and after seeing the chalkboard menu outside the building we decided it was a good place to eat but it had just closed, it was just a few minutes after 3pm. As we were walking away from the door, the owner JR arrived to the restaurant and he informed us that he could make us something to go if we were willing to wait. Being hungry, we opted to do that. Within minutes, the owner brought our to go orders, Shrimp tacos (3) & Cuban sandwich combo with drinks. When I pulled my credit card to pay since I had no cash, JR told me lunch was on him. That's one reason why local business will be better than the chain restaurants! Another reason, the shrimp tacos was finger licking good. I have a thing for tacos and this was one of the best I've had. It was on toasted tortilla bread, grilled blacken shrimp, coleslaw, pico de gallo & remoulade sauce (spicy). My husband had the Cuban that came with chips & french onion dip. He said it was good but after eating a Cuban sandwich from a Cuban, there's no comparison. Overall we had an excellent lunch experience. We will definitely go back. This will be on our list of go to places. Highly recommend this ladie for lunch (11-3).
Fun place in downtown PSJ. They are consistently good. Sandwiches, wraps and salads + and assortment of smoothies. Their dining area is outdoors and small. It’s worth going to have a fresh sandwich (or whatever) and people watch. Service is always great.
It is a walk up window, with covered outside seating. All the options sound wonderful, but I really enjoy the BLTA wrap! The service was great and with your drinks, you get free refills! Be aware during the week, they close at 3:00 p.m. CT
