The desk person at our hotel recommended Dad's for great burgers. What an incredible gem of a diner. I had the little scorpion burger and curly fries and it was fantastic. My son had the steak and enchiladas and could not stop talking about how great they were.
Very fun dinner with memorabilia covering every wall. Affordable, good food and good portions. Breakfast is served all day, and be sure to enjoy somefresh made pie or 4 layer chocolate cake for dessert! Staff is very friendly and efficient. Can be busy at dinner time, especially on the weekends.
Actually a really good place to stop and eat. Great pricing and great staff. Food is good but could be better. I really did enjoy the place it has that old fashioned feel while just having good food.
Got a patty melt. It was OK, could of used a little more love and onions. Fries were good. Got an order of coleslaw as well...it was very dry, very light on the dressing, so it didn't have much flavor. They also make old fashioned cherry Pepsi complete with plenty of maraschino's in it. Pretty delicious. I sat at the counter and right in front of me was the biggest chocolate cake I've ever seen! I really wanted to try it, but I was full and it was $9 a slice. I'll go back sometime just for a slice of that cake with a big glass of snappin' cold milk!
Love this old diner feel. We got chicken fried steak and chicken tender. The beef and vegetable soup was so delicious. Price is also decent for the portions.
Dads was breakfast after 220 miles of driving. Great people, service and especially food. I saw people eating huge slices of chocolate cake at 10 am, others tucking in to a huge burger and fries. Breakfast enchiladas were my choice and I can't wait to return. Everyone walks out of Dads with a smile on their face!
Great local Diner. Had an old school feeling. Classic!!! Recommend the chicken fried steak! The scorpion burger was good but nothing too special and The Appel pie was Good. Staff friendly and place was clean. Food came out fast and staff kept up with your needs.
