Da Picky Vegan - Restaurant in Des Peres - 176 W County Center, USA

All in favor of vegan food! I'm not vegan, (or vegetarian (I don't know what I am (please help me))) but it's great to see more options in St. Louis' de-facto cultural nucleus. Sadly, the line here was not very long, so it looked less appealing than the food court's other options. (Probably partially due to the fact that most Americans wrinkle their nose at the thought of death-free food, or maybe just because it's relatively new) I ordered the chicken sandwich, (No side,) which the girl at the counter recommended me, and I enjoyed it! Not my absolute favorite, and they were busy behind the counter with something, so my food took a little while to get. The thing tasted like chicken to some extent, (Which is more than enough, as deep-fried chicken doesn't even taste like chicken 75% of the time.) I wasn't crazy about the breading on the chicken, though the slaw and the sauce went a ways to make it pretty tasty. Overall, not my favorite food court staple, but if you're vegan, vegetarian, or have general plant-based inclinations, (like me,) then you should definitely give this a try!

Great experience at Da Picky Vegan (located in the food court). Ordered a Chop Chkn Hero and a Triple Patty Combo. I would've preferred crispier sweet potato fries. We had a good conversation with the gentleman there and he gave us a sample of crab cakes. Overall good experience and will definitely return!

Alright this place is legit. As someone with many food allergies, I opted to come here because it’s not as if we are given many choices in regular food courts. This place however, even if I didn’t have these allergies, I’d eat here. Even my husband ended up stealing some of my food. I ordered the black bean burger with garlic bbq and maple sweet potato fries, and it was all so so good. My son ate all my fries so we ended up having to get more. You won’t regret coming here! Delicious food!

Whether you are vegan or not, you need to try this place. I had the Da Picky combo. Like an Impossible burger, it is pretty delish and has great texture. The sauce (I had garlic BBQ) is amazing and you get a guilt-free burger - in a mall food court of all places. The seasoned fries were pretty delicious and fresh as well! I’ll come back to try the other offerings, but there can’t be enough said about how awesome it is just that Da Picky Vegan exists. Your tastes can lay anywhere on the dietary spectrum and enjoy the offerings here. For those like me - plant-based, always learning and adapting - being able to go to a restaurant and order anything on the menu (as opposed to Frankenstein-ing some collection of salad & side dishes) is such a great experience.

Chef John was great! Love that we could just pop in to the food court and find a delicious vegan burger. We tried the Black Bean burger, Da Picky burger, with sweet potato fries, and the "chicken" nuggets. Everything tasted great, and the sauces were delicious. If you love spicy, try Chef John's ketchup. We'll be back!

Da Picky is vegan restaurant located inside the west county mall food court. I visited closer to Christmas so l guess it was busy and took awhile to get my order. I should try again on another day. But it was worth the wait. Food was awesome. I like their sandwiches

The chef was super friendly, and the food is amazing. The burger is one of the best I’ve had in a while and the sauce made it all the better

The black bean burger is DELICIOUS! The burger is savory, well seasoned and has an excellent texture. The hand cut sweet potato fries topped with the sticky maple garlic sauce is well balanced with a tiny kick of red pepper flake. The ginger beer pop drink with almond milk ice cream was creamy and just the right amount of ginger flavor. The customer service was awesome. 10/10 definitely recommend. 🔥🔥🔥
