Using the SPX-1300 Reader Extender solved a specific issue we had where insufficient wiring existed to a gate that was previously controlled remotely, but we only had 4 conductors going out to the gate. The SPX-1300 allowed us to utilize the existing wire and install a fully controlled access control solution on the gate without pulling new cable to the gate. Saved the customer thousands of dollars in trenching costs and made for a very quick upgrade.

I have worked with various Cypress products over the years and have always been impressed by their simplicity and rock solid performance. Recently I worked with Tony, from tech support, who was awesome in helping me get some very old Cypress equipment working again. I appreciated his time and knowledge of the hardware. Cypress does offer a large variety of products, the are great quality and super easy to use. When in the field sometimes wire rans are longer than they need it to be, and Cypress does have a quick solution for all these issues you can came across. The Weigand extender works great, and the Weigand splitter is always a life saver when doing gate entrances with dual pedestal readers. I would most definitely recommend Cypress products to any Access Control Professional.

Cypress converters are rugged and sale support was great so the high cost is reasonable. In June 2021 we ordered eight high cost converters. However, each device was sent bubble wrapped, no individual box, and required additional time for coding on our end to make them operate as needed. By comparison, a way lower cost peer in the market's converters require no additional coding, just plug and play by listening to the port for any data. Cypress wanted us to pay additional for customization which will improve their product for all customers. So we requested a refund instantly after trying to set up one device with customer service on phone and them refusing to improve the software at no cost. They don't have to but we would have been repeat buyers and they could have sold volumes to our larger peers in the market. So instead, for returning devices which were sent only bubble wrapped we lost almost a thousand dollars on restocking fee. Company is too large to do what's right for the little customer. CEO is terrible at replying to small customers' complaint emails. It's now basically 2022.

I've been in the security and access control business since 1979. We started doing business with Cypress a few years after Moses parted the Red sea. Every time we've gone to them with a problem they've provided a robust and incredibly reliable solution. In fact we still have many of their data converters in place we installed in the late 90s. I wish my hips would've lasted as long as their hardware. It just doesn't get any better than these guys.

I had the opportunity to use one of the Cypress Integration Solutions (CIS) wireless OSDP readers. I needed a temporary system to track personnel entering our launch pad area after the physical barriers were damaged following the launch of Starship. CIS gave me a portable, quickly deployed means to monitor personnel accountability. I'm already planning to add more in other locations around our Starbase location.
