Great breakfast. Staff awesome. View and location the best. Just a little expensive so we save this place for special occasions. We've met people from all over the world and many occupations. We've been invited to Holland and Germany by other guests and the social area hosts Breakfast and happy hour snacks and wine on the house. I could fill a book with the experiences we have enjoyed at Cypress Inn. The staff have become friends we love to visit with. Reggie the evening host is the best people person I've ever met.

What a wonderful stay for our anniversary. Loved the ocean right outside our door. Rooms in the main building are a bit small and wish there was a bathtub, but the ocean balcony makes up for it all. Incredible staff and the evening reception is hearty. Breakfast is also great and to order. My husband enjoyed crab cake Benedict and blueberry pancakes!!

Pros:|Very good location. Cross a 10 foot wide trail and you're at an uncrowded beach. While I have seen kids, it seems to mostly cater to couples. The Miramar Beach restaurant is within 100 yards and it's got good food with great ocean views.|Excellent service. This is a small hotel. In the main building, I think that there are only about 5 rooms. It's very easy to reach the front desk. They have books but feel free to drop off a book.|All the rooms come with a private balcony although you might have someone a few feet away at the next balcony. The balcony has a small table and chairs so you can have your appetizers and breakfast there.|Spring for an ocean view room on the second (top) floor. While you will pay more, you have a better view and you won't have bikes and people walking by in front of you as you would on the first (ground) floor.|Bring your bike - you can ride several miles from the hotel as the Coastal Trail is right in front of the hotel. Bike rentals are also available but that's a couple of miles away. |Excellent breakfast. You fill in a form the night before with your choices and can have breakfast delivered to your room or available in the common area.|Great happy hour and cookies in the evening.|Free parking and spots are wide enough for bigger cars.||Cons:|Shower only, no tub at least in the room that we were staying|There's a foghorn that goes off every 20m or so. It's not very loud but I did notice it. When we closed the balcony door, I couldn't hear it any more.|No fridge or microwave but there is a safe.

We had a gorgeous view of the ocean, a very nice room with a comfortable bed, and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Breakfast delivered to our room was wonderful and we took several walks along the ocean. We look forward to coming back soon!

O MY GOSH!; This is one of the nicest places that my husband and I have gone on the coast. The thing I I loved most was they literally had quiet time when you were there. It was the most relaxing stay I've ever had. We are going back.

29 minutes to SFO and light years away. Best last night of holiday ever! Loved the room itself with a full view of the ocean (and the sound of the surf!) as well as the fireplace, wine at 5, and breakfast room service included in the room price. Highest possible recommendation.

Cypress Inn was the perfect location for our Mother/Daughter weekend getaway! The quaint and cozy atmosphere of the room and the common area were perfect. The Happy Hour setup was terrific and we met some great new friends while hanging out in the common area. The comaraderie was just what we needed!

We stayed 2 nights and loved your charming inn! The served-in-room breakfast was top notch and we loved the happy hour in the lobby. The location was wonderful and the staff very friendly and accommodating.

Beach was spotless. Water was cold lol. Kids were all over that water though. I remember those days when the water could be artic cold and I couldn't give a care. Just make sure when we get back into the vehicle, the heat is on hell please.
