The parking for this place at either end is very strange. You have to drive through gates that say it is for only authorized personelle. The paved trail is about 2 miles long (1 way, not a loop) and is not shaded unless you go early in the morning or late at night. The area floods and has water to the sides of the paved trail. There are other trails through the woods off of the paved trail. We've seen turtles twice, birds, and more.
Big enough to lost in and small enough to find your way back. Lots of little trails to go into and explore and sometimes you'll see a hog or turtle if you got a Keen eye. A definite recommendation for anyone who likes trails.
Great Place no restrooms no water so bring your water ride jog hike you can do it all plenty of wildlife
If you want to be alone, this is the place. In over 3 hours there, saw 6 people and a few water district vehicles. The last hour I was the only person there. The site is a working well field, period. No improvements, no seating, water or phone. Ride my mobility scooter all over the paved area. Walking and off road bike trails available. You are on your own there, gated, locked vehicle access could slow help arriving. Bring plenty of water and every thing you need. Nice uncrowned place handicap accessible,
Still very lonely place start the new year.
Nice if small area. Vault toilet in fair condition, door need fixing. Someone left their trash bag on toilet floor and some bottles in the toilet. Nice shade, pond for fishing nearby. The mosquitoes ate not adept at warfare so it's a winnable battle, just be aware of their huge numbers. No water. Fire rings and tables with one sheltered table. Corner site with plenty of shade. Was only person here besides locals walking to fishing spot. Some road noise. Shopping nearby for easy resupply.2-5 bars LTE.
I parked off of Pump Station Road. And hiked five miles with friends. Much of the trail was flooded but it was beautiful anyway. There was no fee to park. Awesome hike, will return.
A primitive park with friendly excellent accessibility by foot, bike, or horse.
Peaceful, clean and serene. Great place for a walk or a family picnic.
