Custard Cottage Mtl - Ice cream shop in Gouverneur - 1067 US-11, USA

This is definitely not the Custard Cottage I grew up getting ice cream from. I'm very disappointed with this place under new management and with employees that do not know how to make a decent size cone. The prices are outrageous for the size you get. Their specialty soft serve flavor machine always seems to be not working🙄. I personally will never get ice cream from here again.

We always love stopping for ice cream on our way between Syracuse and Malone! So good! Love the special twist flavors. And there's a bathroom behind the building and room for the kids to run around and stretch their legs.

I grew up in Gouverneur and loved coming to Custard Cottage for root beer floats--and the chocolate vanilla twist cones. When I come back to childhood favorites, they don't live up to my memory of them. But Custard Cottage's root beer floats are every bit as good as I remember. (I made two trips there today.☺️) I hope it never changes.

Was a quiet dinning experience. had take out and got to eat a cheesy delicious cheeseburger.

Great service. Love the employees, not only are they friendly and obviously have great ice cream, but they also have amazing food. Even simple things like grilled cheese are to die for. Chicken tenders are def the best in town and it all seems so fresh and delicious.

I now live in FL but I went to visit last week. Whenever I think of Gouverneur I always remember this place. They have the best grilled cheese sandwiches I've ever had. Everyone is always so nice and friendly. Prices are amazing. Ice cream is a plus. Cash only though!
