Finally went to curlys after living in Elmira for years haha. I was pleasantly surprised. They have a good sized menu of comfort style food. I got a crispy chicken sandwich and it was enormous. Very hot and fresh. The fries were also hot and fresh and crispy. The waitress was helpful and friendly. I got my sandwich with a side of honey mustard instead of the mayo it comes with and I was happy their honey mustard is really good. It was a decent price for this meal and it left me feeling satisfied and good. I really wanna come back and get their chicken and biscuits meal.
Very good place for breakfast with a good amount of options. Really good waffles and breakfast melts, and I highly recommend the cinnamon roll you can get as a side. They also have a lot of good omlette options. Only downside was a clumpy hot chocolate. Definitely a place I'll be returning to again.
Hands down the best Rotisserie chicken I’ve ever had! I’ve met the owners and you can tell they care about the food they offer. It’s evident in the quality and the pride they show while talking about how they make the food. I’m new to the area but after eating the chicken and seeing the menu, I know I’m going to be a frequent customer. This is not just a chicken spot.
Down to earth restaurant. Great food. Cole slaw is the best ever. If your in town plan on stopping at Curly's -- it's worth the trip. Recommend the hot chicken sandwich.
I ordered the meatloaf and didn't care for it and when I told the waitress she said order something else. So I got the chicken and shrimp with two sides and it was very good, my husband got the chicken as well and he liked it alot. I had a lemon blueberry cake and he had the lemon meringue pie and they both were delicious....I really liked the lemon blueberry cake alot...it's so good...if you go there save some room for dessert...that's what I did...you won't be disappointed.
This was my 1st visit eating here, other than one time i had ordered some takeout. The food was good, portion was too big for me to finish. Our waiter was very friendly and downtown earth- definitely made the experience great. All the staff was very friendly which is the biggest reason I'll be going back. Plus, I'd like to try something different on the menu.
I went to Curly's yesterday to try their eggs Benedict, and was totally disappointed. I could taste that something was "off" (maybe the sauce curdled), but couldn't tell what, and they used ham rather than Canadian bacon. I ate one with that weird taste, and took the other home to see if my dog would like it. I ended up trashing it because I didn't want him to have explosive diarrhea in the house. At least I was able to reach the bathroom.
The service was okay to begin with, but after I got my takeout container, I waited for 10 minutes for my bill to come. It never did, so I left money on the table. Definitely will not go back.
An okay place for a chicken dinner in a low-frills restaurant. Service from our last visit was poor, but usually decent. The most disappointing issue with this particular visit was that the server said that we can only watch repeats of the Weather Channel when multiple people asked to put the Army-Navy game on. She acted as if she was put out at having to get the remote control to change the channel and ignored multiple requests to change the channel.
Yooooo! If you live or work or occasionally visit Elmira you need to check out this place. Lucky 7 Deli on the corner of Walnut & Washington (used to be a Byrne Dairy).
They make all kinds of things but it's a Mediterranean/Middle East style kitchen
Made it to Elmira on a return trip from the Finger Lakes. This University campus is gorgeous and full of beautiful old buildings. This was not the original home for the study but has become its final resting place. It wasn't open the day we visited b
So impressed with this hidden gem. I had no idea this place was a restaurant for the first 3 years living here. Now I visit weekly. The fettuccine Alfredo and harvest salad are 10/10. My go to favorites.
Awesome store always love coming here. Awesome place to bring someone. So many animals to look at. They have birds, fresh and saltwater fish, bunnies, chinchillas, hamsters, ferrets, ginni pigs, mice, shrimp, and even living coral decor for your fish
Takes a lot to impress me. Food and service were excellent. This was a first and definitely not our last time! Prices are good, too! I recommend getting their cinnamon toast, so yummy!ð
