This place is so good!! Nice family owned, cozy and the food and desserts are delicious. The owners make you feel so welcomed and the service is excellent. Highly recommend this place if your looking for good food and delicious desserts.
Great food and great service. But I must say that the owner kind of told us we should not order from the menu but order from the specials without disclosing the price which we later found is $70 per plate. These are expensive city prices not a cute cozy Italian restaurant in SI. So I prefer that the owner would be upfront and tell us the price. I would have preferred to order from the menu with knowing how much I am spending. Great food but for $250 a couple without drinks I will skip next time
Cucina Fresca is everything you want in a cozy family restaurant. First off Carmen & Frank are the most pleasant, passionate and friendly hostess & chef that we have had the pleasure of meeting and eating their amazing food! Second was the delicious food… We had the fried calamari which was crispy and so tender! The “special” zucchini flowers stuffed with soft pillows of ricotta cheese and mozzarella!!! To start…. Amazing!!! The entree we decided on the Fred Flintstone sized TOMAHAWK steak and holy moly was it tender… juicy & so perfectly cooked to medium temperature. (Leave the bone for their 2 puppies at home). THEN to top it off the hand dipped by order TARTUFO & home made crème brûlée!!! We were amazed! BUTTTT before you leave you have to try their home made amaretto & limoncello. It was by far the best Italian food we have had so far on this island. We will definitely be back soon! And don’t forget to BYOB because you will want to sit back and relax for this exceptional experience! Thank you Frank & Carmen!!! We can’t wait to come back!!! Joann & Ray
On the positive, this was the best service experience I’ve had in some time. The waitress was very attentive and made us feel taken care of while we dined. My wife got the lasagna and I got the Mediterranean Sea bass. The menus were printed on paper, which means they may change the menu frequently.
The sea bass was perfectly prepared, topped with a delicious butter sauce and capers. It was accompanied by perfectly cooked to the crunch French style green beans. The lasagna portion was large and my wife enjoyed it.
I did think the portion of sea bass was very small. A delightful meal.
A hidden gem ...
I stumbled upon this restaurant when I was visiting a friend in the area. Everything from the zucchini flower appetizer to the swordfish steak was tasty, fresh and delish.
It is a BYOB so bring your wine!
The dining area is small - so make your reservation before you go, but they will accommodate walk ins if they can.
The atmosphere is quaint and comfortable.
The owners, Carmen and Frank, were more than generous with their time and attention. They made sure everything was perfect, dinner was served promptly and that we were happy and satisfied.
I cant say enough about Cucina Fresca and the outstanding experience that we had here and are making plans to return.
My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at Cucina Fresco last evening. The food was delicious. I had the Broccoli Rabe with Sausage and homemade fusilli, from the regular menu and it was exceptional. My husband chose Sword fish off the Specials menu and really enjoyed it. It was our pleasure to meet Frank and Carmen, the new owners. They went out of there way to make us feel welcome. This will certainly be our go to restaurant when dining on the Island.
From the delectable cuisine to the enchanting ambiance, this establishment consistently surpasses my expectations. Whether dining in or opting for take-out, the experience is always a delight.
Updated review: Greatly improved now that the new ownership has woked out the kinks. Carmen is a sweetheart, the perfect yin to co-owner Frank's yang. Eric is a great chef, and the portions are reasonably sized. Will definitely keep going back.

Impeccable service. Good food. Roomy (lots of space between tables). Lively bar (when the Mets hit a grand slam, nobody cared, so Yankee territory). Fun events/shows.
We went there for lunch and were the only visitors at that time. The service was very nice and the food was amazing. We had the lasagna and a greek salad with apples and pears. Portion size is really big as well. If you ever visit Staten Island, make

This place was very cool. I had no idea it was even here. We walked up to it and thereâs a sign to ring the doorbell. You need to be let in the front door. We were greeted by a very nice man who welcomed us in. It was free to enter, but they have a
