Service and Atmosphere were great!.
I ordered a Pan con Bistec and I was so disappointed; what I got was Pan with shoestring fries and lettuce and tomato. I even asked the cashier in case they had forgotten to add a second layer of bistec (it was extremely thin!) and she confirmed my order- hopefully the owners will do an adjustment to this dish. Super disappointed!
Dear Owner- obviously $9+for 4oz. Super thin bistec- is just not right. It is extremely thin.
Had the pan con lechón. Didn’t like the flavor and the meat was dry. Asked to it get changed and got lectured about why I wanted to change sandwiches. I appreciate the change of sandwich but the condescending treatment was not needed. Wound up having a normal Cuban sandwich, it was average at best anyway.
With all the Cuban options in Miami, it’s fair to say I will not coming back to this establishment again.
I haven't been to this place for about 10 plus years. It looks like they change owners which is fine. The place was clean empty and they were running on Wednesday special for steak sandwiches at $6 each. I order five of them and every single one. They had no flavor. The wife and I and the kids were upset that we had to throw the food away cuz it tasted really bad. The steak had a little small taste to rancid like if the steak was at least 2 days, 3 days old being at temperature. On top of that I asked the lady to see if they season the steaks. She said yes they do and I'm watching the cook. Just throwing steaks on the flat iron and just staring at him and there was no seasoning throne on the stakes. I also ask her about getting cilantro sauce and she said I cant give you no more than one with five sandwiches, five fries and one yuca fries. Explain that to me.
A friend told me about this restaurant and said that the food was delicious. So, I decided to visit the Hialeah Gardens store today (1/24/24 @ about 4pm). The young lady working the register greeted me and was very pleasant. I ordered the "Pan con Bistec." The lady asked if I wanted the 4 oz or the 8oz. I replied that I wanted the 8oz sandwich. She rang up the bill, I paid, and gave a 20% tip. She took my name and said it would be a few minutes. I waited for a bit, and they called out my name. I went to the pickup location of the counter, and the same pleasant lady that took my order handed me my sandwich (bagged) and said "buen provecho" in Spanish. I then walked out to my car and departed.
Shortly thereafter, I got home and opened the bag, and noticed the packaging. The sandwich was nicely wrapped in paper and placed in tray and into a sleeve. I had never seen that packaging method and considered it unique and thought it was a nice way to present a sandwich.
The sandwich was nicely built, and it looked delicious. I grabbed 1/2 of the sandwish, took a bite of it, and was not impressed. "The sandwich looked delicious, had a unique presentation, but it was bland.......no seasoning what-so-ever." The sandwich had no taste at all, not even salt. Needless to say, I threw away 95% of the sandwich because it was not seasoned.
With all the other Cuban restaurants available in South Florida, I don't anticipate returning to this restaurant again.
"You never get a second chance to make a first impression."
I took advantage of the Special of the day, Pan con Lechón it was yummy, and recieved an excellent customer service from Ariana, I'll be back soon.
Excellent service! The food is amazing. The employees are very professionals ! My number one fast food restaurant.very and good atmosphere.
Food and service were excellent!!! Especially the vaca frita bowl.
Food was great! We ordered take out and it was definitely freshly made. The fritas were great, buns were soft and warm. The Toston Sanwich was pretty cool and the vaca frita had so much flavor. For side we had yuca frita. For dessert we had the dulce de leche filled churros... Oh so yummy! Definitely will order again from here to try some of the other items on the menu!
