So much fun! The front 9 and back 9 have very different styles, but both are great to play. Plenty to challenge anyone, the greens are challenging, and the fairways can be tight. And let's not forget the ubiquitous northern Michigan water and wildlife. We golf here often, not only because we enjoy the course, but also because we enjoy the owner. Dave and his staff are friendly and fun, the price is reasonable, and the views are fabulous!
We make it to Crystal Lake Golf Course a couple of times a year. The owner is awesome, and the service is top notch. The greens were impeccable the last time we visited in mid-August. The bloody Mary's are really good as well. This course is a must play if you are in the area at all!
Don't believe these reviews from a month out. The owner is a nice guy I'll give that, but the course is not in great shape. The fairways are burnt and hard as concrete. I realize it's been hot with no rain, but water the fairways. I will give them great ratings on the Greens they were outstanding. The price is good. This would be a really good course if the fairways were not burnt and hard as a rock.
Have been here twice, like going here. Staff is nice and course is clean. Just enough challenge for an experienced golfer, but my wife (beginner) also enjoyed the course.
Owner has really upgraded the course condition since we were there 4 years ago. Friendly place. Great views. Looking forward to going back.

Food and beer are excellent, and when itâs sunny outside itâs bright and beautiful inside, even when itâs chills outside. Cocktails are seasonal, creative, and excellent. We have never had bad service and it feels like hanging out with friends.
This place is a Gem ! Very spacious sites, plenty of shade, decent river access to cool & refresh. Hand pumps & pits. Town of Honor 5 minutes away for supplies. Can't wait to come back !

Went for Friday night fish special, and it was very good! It is one of the few places around that serve smelt. They also had perch, walleye & bluegill. All of the fish was excellent, along with the service!

Got the Mediterranean pizza with breadsticks. Food was really good and owner was very kind and welcoming. Place was kept clean and food was out quick. Will be back when we return up north!
It was the best smelt dinner I have ever had! The waitress was by herself and working her butt off. She was still very friendly. You can walk down to crystal lake to see the sunset.
