Crusader Oceanfront Resort and Restaurant - Hotel in Wildwood Crest - 6101 Ocean Ave, USA

We travel about 6 hours from CT. I discovered the Crusader about 5 years ago while looking for an affordable oceanfront place to stay. Our first stay was in 2020 and we have returned every year since. Our most Recent being June 2023. We always book in December via the "special deals" page on the crusader website. This year we also invited 2 other parties to join us and Crusader was able to accommodate all 3 parties requests for oceanfront rooms. ||||We enjoy the full kitchenette, the updated flooring / couches, easy check in / out. I have NEVER had an issue at crusader. Maintenance man is always friendly. Housekeeping check in daily and they are always willing to restock/take out whatever is needed. A/C in room works great. ||||This year the wind gusts were wild so it was not great beach weather but our daughter was just as happy spending time in the resort pool. ||||I highly recommend Crusader Resort for young families/ couples looking for an affordable oceanfront option. ||||Thanks for the memories Crusader!

We stayed at The Crusader for three nights this past week. The rooms were kept very clean, the staff was friendly, we walked to the boardwalk (though it felt very long in the heat) and the ocean is right there, so that was nice. The restaurant was good but only open until 3. Our room had a living room and a bedroom with two beds. The kitchen was a sink, full size fridge and microwave. Our only complaint with our room is that a ceiling tile fell as it floated up when the ac turned on. The pool was OK, kids enjoyed it. The best part I think is that it was nice and quiet.

Stayed last week for the first time at the crusader hotel. Already booked for next year. The staff are welcoming,friendly,and very very helpful. The ladies at the front desk at check in were great! My wife asked for help with luggage do to we are both handicape and with no hesitation Steve and the one lady (sorry I forget her name) came out to help. Our room was upgraded comfortable and very clean. Great view and the pool was perfect. We rented mobility scooters and the staff let us keep them in the lobby and when we went out Steve was there to help. When we checked out they sent Jose to help get our stuff back into our car. In our opinion the Crusader is far above and beyond any other hotel we have stayed at. We would highly recommend for a good stay to book your vacation at the Crusader. Location was great as it was very close to the beach and the boardwalk area. The staff at the front desk area was nice and professional as well as the cleaning crew. The only thing that was negative and it has nothing to do with the hotel is that some ppl in the pool area where the umbrellas were would leave their towels on the chairs and left somewhere else for hours while others that were present in the pool could not use the umbrellas during a very sunny day. But overall we had a great time at this hotel. Recommended

From the warm hello as we entered to check in to the heartfelt thank you as we checked out. The staff was awesome. The Crusader was perfect. The very clean and spacious room and comfortable bed. The pool(which was my daughter’s favorite) and sunning area was relaxing. The food area was delicious. I couldn’t have asked for a better place for my family. Thank you Crusader. Arsenal Gunners.

Second year staying at the Crusader Oceanfront Resort and we were as happy and enamored with this hotel as the first time we set foot in our room, already reserved our week for next year. Amazing ocean view from our balcony, beautiful clean and comfortable rooms, friendly and professional staff, great location close to everything and the Crusader restaurant is not to be missed! Very family friendly facility. We love everything about the Crusader and highly recommend it.

We love the Crusader! We’ve been going to Wildwood for many years and have tried numerous hotels and I can honestly say that the Crusader is the best of them all. While not the cheapest, you do get what you pay for and the extra few dollars are well spent. The rooms are clean and comfy and the staff is top notch and so friendly! Can’t wait for next year!

I am disheartened and disappointed that the staff and their manager named Bruce have zero compassion for my family. While we were set to arrive for our end of summer trip my son had an accident at a trampoline park and broke his leg, his tibia. So drained fm this experience and assumed 48 hr notice would suffice. It did not. Reps never expressed their compassion, just that we would not be getting refunded our deposit. I don’t want a refund. I begged for a credit. I cried. I emailed the owner. No response. I sent proof of injuries. All reps and manager were short and seemed annoyed with me. NOT a family oriented place at all. We loved staying here in the past but never again. If this is the way you treat a mother who is going thru this terrible ordeal, then you are not a business I want to give my hard-earned money to. Travel insurance is needed cause you never know what could happen and The Crusader just doesn’t care! I WAS CHARGED MY FULL DEPOSIT, NOT 1/2 CANCELLATION FEE. HONESTY AND COMPASSION ARE LACKING HERE SADLY :(
