Crowne Plaza Ft. Lauderdale Airport/Cruise - Hotel in Fort Lauderdale - 455 FL-84, USA

I enjoyed my stay here. Location is pretty good if you’re going to port everglade to get on a cruise. The room was pretty nice, a very friendly and helpful bunch. The staffing was good (front desk). Restaurant not so much. Staff there were nice but they were watching sports on TV more than serving and when I get my meal and bill together I know immediately it’s a tacky lower end place but with high prices. Overall it was a nice hotel stay and I don’t swim but the pool was closed so you should check to see if it’s open if that is important to you. Gym was so-so

Having read the earlier critical reviews of this hotel, I was hesitant to stay here. But as this hotel is so conveniently located to both the airport and the cruise port, we chose to stay here. We actually ended up spending two nights here.|The room rate was better than expected. Our room was clean, quiet, and spacious. The mattress was one of the most comfortable I have slept on, and the pillows were excellent. The bathroom, with a walk-in shower, was nice but could have used a little more space. The towels were very nice and seemed like new. The room has a nice low table for setting luggage on. |We ate in the hotel restaurant, KiKi’s, and the food was good, with a varied selection on the menu, and more reasonably priced than most in-hotel restaurants. We had no complaints about the service. |When arriving from the airport, the courtesy shuttle from the hotel was very prompt. We used the AllStar shuttle from the hotel to the cruise port, $15 per person, booked when checking into the hotel, with pickup at the hotel. We used the hotel shuttle from the hotel back to the airport and had awesome service from Katalena (apologies if I didn’t spell that right).

Absolutely Terrible - Avoid this place - Waited over 2 hours for the shuttle at the airport. Called the hotel multiple times and was told the shuttle was "on its way" every time. - The front desk claimed they called me to let me know my room was ready. I received no calls or messages, and my phone's call history showed no missed calls. - Tried to speak to the manager Andre, who was hiding in his office. The receptionist said he was the GM but refused to give his name. GM was incredibly rude, claiming the shuttle service was run by different vendor and accusing me of not calling, which was not true. He even threatened to call the police if I didn't leave. - The bathroom had no ventilation leaving it steamy and smelly. - The room was dust nightmare. We tried cleaning it, but dust kept settling back in. - Air conditioning was obnoxiously loud. -The bed was ridiculously high, and the bathroom was so tiny you had to climb into the bathtub to close the door. -The hotel is in a grim industrial area- completely inconvenient. - I had booked a night at the hotel for after my cruise, but after the first night, I decided to cancel my stay upon my return from the cruise and still haven't received my $485 refund. Overall: - The staff were rude. - If cleanliness doesn't brother you, and you just want a cheap place to lay down, this might be the place for you. -If you care about cleanliness and customer service and like to explore DO NOT STAY at Crowne Plaza. Better Alternative: -Stayed at the W Fort Lauderdale after my cruise. It was stunning, conveniently located near the beach, and offered a great beach boardwalk experience. The price was similar, but the quality was light-years ahead.

My two kids and I stayed here just so that we can be close to the airport because our flight was early in the morning. Earlier that day, Crowne Plaza took $1 and then $99 for a security deposit. That was fine. When I arrived the price for 1 night was charged to my card. Days later I look in my banking app and the $1 hold was released but not the $99. Also, the transaction for the price of the 1 nights stay was no longer pending, it's a permanent transaction now. But Crown Plaza has another transaction for 1 nights stay pending on my account. I tried to call to ask why is there a hold for the price of the room, I was met with an attitude. I was talking to the person at the front desk and she transferred me to the manager mid sentence. So rude. I called back and she answered the phone "Yeah" like she didn't want to be bothered. Very rude!!! If you don't want games being played with your money, don't stay here. Don't get me wrong, the hotel is very nice and clean. But they are playing games with people's credit/debit cards!!!

Great staff! Arrived after midnight and appreciated Geno's (sp?) kindness. The room was clean, terrific pillows and thick towels! Nice! Deducted a star because it was a shame that the pool was out of order. The ice machine was also out of order. But overall, it is a nice, inexpensive hotel with terrific staff.

Stayed here the end of May. The check in process was easy. The parking attendant was very helpful and nice -the only good thing about our stay. We only stayed one night, we were in town for an event and just needed a place to sleep for the night and get ready the next morning. Our AC went out -in Florida- the next morning. It slowly started getting hotter and hotter in the room. The mini fridge was not on when we arrived to room and did not stay cold throughout the night, making all of our cold drink we brought with us, warm. The clock was not set and showed the wrong time. The couch bed was not made and the extra sheets in the room, did not fit. We were in a rush because we were on a time limit to get to our event that morning. When I tried going down to talk to the front desk about our room being warm, there was only 1 person working and about 20 guests in the lobby. I didn't have time to wait so I just left. I tried contacting the property to get a refund or at least a partial refund for our experience - I even took photos of the thermostat. And they just ignored every contact attempt. Would not recommend anyone stay here. Absolutely terrible customer service.

We were happy with our stay, and we had two issues. The first issue was regarding breakfast, where there were no details that it was only for two people, and it was for all the guests, but we found out after our arrival that it was only for two people. The second issue was that they deducted around $30 or $35 from our account due to early arrival, which was around 2 PM, although they did not inform us about it at all. If we had known, we would have waited until 3 PM, and we waited for their call to return the amount they tried to deduct, but after our departure, they stopped returning it. Thanks and regards. Large rooms and comfortable bed and airport transport is convenient! The pool was not open due to crack tiles and that was disappointing as the water was 92 degrees daily. Management did not offer any compensation or alternative for this inconvenience which is why I rated service a 3. The bathroom amenities were lacking compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at.
