We purchased two hard drives from this company. Both drives were listed as new on eBay, but one drive had 25,000 usage hours and the other drive had over 30,000 usage hours.
BEWARE!!!! These people are selling used hard drives as new. If you purchase from them, use a SMART Utility to get the hour count.
This company goes by "IB Tech" on Amazon. I ordered "New" Seagate SAS drives from them and what I received was "Certified Refurbished". I asked to return them, since that's not what I ordered. The company contacted me and apologized. They claimed a "mistake in shipping". They promised to send "New" drives if I remove my negative feedback. (luckily I waited on that). I received my replacement drives and they were WORSE than refurbished... they were USED. Used drives don't say refurbished on the label like the factory refurbs do. So as long as they are not beat up, most people wouldn't be able to tell. I noticed one drive had a computer recycling company sticker on it. That indicated they were NOT new. Upon testing 2 of the 6 drives with diagnostic software, I found one drive had 24,000 hours and the other 38,000 hours of use on them. (drives store that data) This company sells refurbished and used equipment as new ripping off customers.. Beware.
Ordered one SAS drive and it arrived in non-static free packaging and the drive had a predicted failure error. When notified, they sent another drive to replace the first and it had a failed drive error and could not be added to the Raid array as a hot swap drive. Ordered a new drive through NewEgg and looks like I got used drives. Buyer be ware.
They are selling used drives as new. Got as old as 4 years old "new" drives, breaking down at 1 week of operation, then the replacement drive was 5 year old. Stay away from them.
Got everything I ordered on time and was shipped in super safe packaging, no complaints
