Crown Motel - Kings Beach - Hotel in Kings Beach - 8200 N Lake Blvd, USA

We recently stayed at the Crown Motel for 3 nights at the end of November. Highly recommend this hotel for the amazing views, value, and friendly service from the front desk to the housekeeping staff. Our room was comfortable and impeccably clean. The view from our lakefront private patio with our own gas fire pit was amazing and we enjoyed sunrises and sunsets each day. Thank you for a memorable Tahoe experience! We will be back.

My husband and I booked a Standard Room, King, for 2 nights last January 26th to the 28th 2024. I choose Crown Motel for its proximity to T.A.R.T. Route Hwy 267, walkability to restaurants, close proximity to the Lake and reasonable price. We were not disappointed; we got all that we wanted. Noah, the Front Desk person who checked us in, was very nice, helpful and professional. Our room looked updated. It was comfortable, clean and showers was hot & the water pressure was strong. It was small, but we didn't stay there to stay in our room. It was so nice to be able to walk to the Lake from our room. The hot tub was hot with gorgeous views of the Lake! Go to the hot tub either early or late as it does get popular. Would like to stay here again!

Just spent a night at the Crown Motel and had a wonderful time. We chose a pet friendly lake front room and were impressed. Room was completely updated, clean and spacious. Outside looks a little dated but we enjoyed the lakefront observation decks with fire pits. We enjoyed the big bay window and listening to the lake waves at night. Great location to Kings Beach and shops/restaurants. Only issue was getting in contact with them to secure a pet friendly room, just call and leave a message - they will call you back. Definitely a gem motel, looking forward to our next stay!

5-stars for Crown Motel in Kings Beach! Had a flat tire and needed a place to stay overnight w/ 2 dogs! Rooms were well appointed and clean. Lakefront location is fantastic with great views & beach access. Walkable to good restaurants & coffee.

Affordable little hotel, with an amazing view and access to the lake! We were able to get a room without a reservation and glad we did because this place has a pool and a great patio overlooking the lake. You can also rent bikes and kayaks. The rooms were basic, but clean. The motel is within walking distance of most businesses in Kings Beach. I would definitely stay again.

Built in 1958 according to the info the hotel has that classic 50s Beach cabin feel you see in old photos and adverts. The rooms are partially updated but could be updated a bit more. The hotel has its own beach, pool, game room, and it is certainly located to be able to walk to all the areas of Kings Beach. The room was comfortable and had a lot of light. There was no ac in our room, but there was a ceiling fan and extra fan to help move the air when the windows were open. The bed was comfortable but a bit bouncy, which is an odd thing to not I know. The shower was tall and there was good water pressure.

The location is great. Good view from the pool and hotub. Other than that the motel is very dated. The motel had been around for a long time, but has not kept up to date. Seems they tried to make improvements but in the cheapest way possible. And for 300-400 a night, it's just not worth it. The fridge didn't open all the way, the AC is a portable unit (which did do the job for the record) the fan was a remote control, bathroom Base boards was exposed with nails, and if you are over 6 feet tall, good luck using the toilet. They only have staff on until 9 and then if you need something you have to call a generic after hours number.... And they don't clean the rooms daily (most hotels have reverted back to cleaning daily post covid but some hotels are still using it as an excuse... I shouldn't have to call for toilet paper). Sadly, it will be the last time I stay there with my family.

I highly recommend especially if you have a dog. With this said, I travel for work frequently and vacation wise (international and domestic travel). I can quite picky on places I stay since it can be frequent. Typically, I stay in large hotel chains like Marriott or Hilton brands. Not common, I stay at locally owned or boutique places. I am so glad, I chose to stay at Crown Motel. I had a lakefront view room, and there are multiple buildings. Unsure how others are, but mine was incredibly clean. Updated with nice floors, bathroom items, and mini fridge is awesome. I loved the view. Hot water was amazing. Heat as needed worked. last night, for whatever reason, didn't come on. Unsure why, but was my last night, so no big deal. First night, amazing heat to keep me nice and warm. Beds comfy, nice USB wall outlets and plentiful wall outlets. Nice breakfast table by window and sitting charis. Amenities are hands down - very nice. Hottub experience was just beautiful. Right on beach / lake with an insanely beautiful mountain, lake view from hottub. They have BBQs, nice entertainment area with cornhole and ping pong table. Multiple tables and decks. Beach area has nice loungers on beach. only item I can say is that if it is busy, unsure how the sound / noise may be. I think you will be able to hear quite a bit of noise but noticed they do have a curfew for amenities. Check-in and check-out was super easy and efficient. I thought the staff at the front desk was helpful. Yes, I was the one that couldn't figure out the gate code/gate for pool area, and the front desk person helped me by coming out. found my entire experience - surprisingly wonderful. I didn't expect much; and it exceeded my expectations ten fold ! Thank you for nice couple days off I needed.
