Crown Inn Motel - Motel in Yorktown - 7833 George Washington Memorial Hwy, USA

Owners are weird and extremely rude! The reviews are true and accurate, they will go in your room without notice, after you leave, claiming they are “inspecting it”. I went to get breakfast at 8am and returned to find out they had entered my room after i had left. The wife working there accused me of having 2 different men in my room, (she told my husband this) and called me a liar and said she had camera footage but wouldn’t show it, how embarrassing and uncomfortable! They also refused to accommodate me with a service animal, when I told them this was against the law and I could sue them, she started yelling at me and told me to call the police. Something is very off about the owners. Don’t leave valuable personal belongings in your room.

Super clean, old style motel. No frills, but clean, quite, and well maintained. Nice modern bathroom with plenty of hot water and nice water pressure. The only detractor, the mattress. It was clean and new, just very basic. We had a smoking room, but would not have known it but for the sign. I will definitely stay here again.

Great location in Yorktown VA for visiting the Historical Yorktown for affordable price. No frills. No coffee maker in room was the only negative. Plan to Bring your own, there is a microwave and fridge though.

The owners are rude and shifty people. They insisted I pay for something that was broken before I arrived. Would not answer the front desk phone when I tried to report the issue and when I was able to let the know, they accused me of breaking the item and insisted that I pay way more the it was worth. Called me a liar and would not listen to anything I said. I feel like I was robbed. Do yourself a favor and don't stay at the crown inn motel.o

The room was clean but stuffy. Had to wait a little bit to get checked in . In all I would come back

We stayed for 2 nights. We arrived after driving 8 hours. I asked if our room was ready, and I was told “Yes! You can check in early for $10.” Check in was 3:00 and it was 2:45! ||There was a roach in the bathroom! (My husband waited until we were home to tell me!) One of the washcloth was dirty. ||We opted not to have housekeeping, when I went to the desk and asked for 2 towels, I was told that the owner has the keys and the towels were not available. The room smelled musty, we bought Febreeze.||The hairdryer was yellowed from smoke in the room, even though it was a non-smoking room. The refrigerator froze everything. There was one packet of coffee. The creamer and sugar were a block of crystal.||The outside lights were very bright and you could see them thru the door.||There were multiple stains on the carpet. ||We will never stay there again now would we recommend it. The only good thing Wa s the price and location. ||I would never stay here again.

Plus: location is great. In the heart of many stores and restaurants Minus: everything else. Rooms are musty and outdated. Wifi is an extra charge. Appeared that another tenant was selling stolen goods openly in the parking lot. I wouldn't stay there again. There are other options.

I didn't have any of the problems described by other reviews. August of 2023. Everything was fine. And you can park right in front of the door to the room, unlike two-story motels.
